Awaiting Feedback Remove Character Limit from Initial Profile Comments

Basically what the title says.

No more than 420 characters can be typed in initial profile comments. However, there appears to be no character limit when commenting on the initial comment.

As an example, take a look at Llave's profile, where my comment to my initial comment has a total of 786 characters.

It seems kind of weird how comment characters are unlimited, but initial comment characters aren't.

If this is more of a bug, feel free to move it to Site Assistance, staff.

 

I completely detest the character limit on the vm comments. It limits what I can put down for my rp's I'm doing and that pisses me off a lot. I have to shorten a part that might be important, and if it is really a big issue I'd double post which I hate doing a lot. I just miss being able to make a long reply and read them too.

 

Yep, that's exactly it. I don't really have any qualms in making them unlimited. Will update when Da Deed is done.

 

It's not a setting in the ACP, it requires editing the core files. We probably removed the limit for the replies but missed it for the initial comment. Only Mark and I have access to change it right now, I'll look into it.
