358/2 Days Regarding the whole Xion/Ven/Xigbar scene.

Most of you know already, but I might as well use spoiler tags.

Xigbar saw Xion as Ven and was distracted. Xion's form depends on who's looking at her.

So did it ever state if Xigbar recognized Ven? Did he recognize Xion as Ven or as Roxas? In the Reports of Days (I forget what they're called), I remember Xigbar stating something, but it didn't seem as if he recognized them. He remembered seeing TVA and their Keyblades, so isn't it weird he didn't recognize Ven or even recognized Roxas as Ven?

I didn't ask about the video. I know he posted it but that was revealed quite some time before he did. I saw the video when someone else posted it before him and it showed Xigbar surprised, that was it. It didn't show him as recognizing Ven.

 

Maybe his memory got wiped out. Or that he was seeing images of some other past self of his life, or something except the image he was seeing was Ven and not who it is naturally.

 

Well this is just my opinion..
I don't think Xigbar knew Ven, because BBS takes place 10 years before KH1 and KH2. Well at time Ansem had his 6 apprentices so maybe his human self knew Ven. You know what I mean?

 

If his human self knew Ven, Xigbar would remember it. Nobodies remember their past lives.
Remember when Sora fought Xigbar? Xigbar said, "THe Keyblade sure picked a dud this time. You're not half the heroes the other were." Sora thought he was just messing with him, but it was confirmed that when Braig (Xigbar's true self) was an apprentice of Ansem the Wise, he saw Terra, Ven, and Aqua with their Keyblades. If Braig knew it, Xigbar would. So why didn't Xigbar recognize Xion or Roxas as the guy he saw before?

Then he wouldn't have remembered seeing them in the first place and wouldn't have said anything in KH2.

I don't understand what you mean by that

 

Well once you think of it, he probably forgot about Ven like it was 10 years ago, or maybe Ven confronted or attacked Xigbar's human self.

 

In other words Xigbar may have been slowly remembering in his past life through the eyes of Briag of the image of Ven. Subconsciously he is not sure if it is real or not. He could be in denial for all we know. He doesn't know if he is seeing Roxas or Ven. That is what I meant to say.

 

Sounds like a pretty weird thing to be in denial about.
But if he thought he was seeing Roxas, wouldn't he have recognized Xion as Roxas? If I remember correctly, he just said that he saw "some guy".
