Regarding Keyblades

1 thing I find really weird is that Sora wears his keyblade on his back instead of summoning it like wat he does in the original game. But in some scene in the CoM manga, Riku is shown without holding his keyblade so I'm presuming that he CAN summon his.

Does anybody have any thoughts about this?

 

it probably makes Sora look more like a swordsman...most characters from manga who have swords carry them on their back...even Auron does, lol.

 

Maybe it'd be too much effort having to draw Sora summoning the Keyblade again and again. That way it wouldn't look so weird if he's holding the Keyblade in one panel, missing in the next, and he's holding it again after that. He's probably better off just carrying it around with him.

I agree with DF on this. I know as an artist that would be a pain!

 

i agree with demon days. it does make him look cooler carrying it on his back. although he still looks pretty horrible with his red pants and shirt outfit.

 

riku is better off summoning with it, but sora is better off carrying it.

 

I think it's personal Preferance. or safety. Like i be the one to summon it. I prefer the good entrance.

That's true but if the artist(s) spend so much time already on the game why not put in more effort to make the game even better? << Not that the game isn't good. O_O

 

Just so you know, in Chain of Memories Riku does not have a keyblade. He's using his Soul Eater sword. The only keyblades Riku has used was the dark keyblade from Kingdom Hearts and the Way to Dawn keyblade from Kingdom Hearts II.

I thought Sora holding his key in his belt was sort of cute. It'd be annoying to draw him summoning it and explaining where they key goes when he is not using it. It was just a desicion on the artist's part, probably for conveinence.

Yeah, it probably just shows him carrying his so they don't have to make a bunch of panels that are the same of him just sticking his hand out and a panel beside it of his hand having a keyblade in it. riku is only in the story a few times so it doesn't get old but sora would have to summon his keyblade a lot and it would get to be used too much.

Why should it have been locked?

 

As long as it adds to the discussion and isn't like a year bump we generally let it slide. <_>
