This thread is to post recipes in . I'm not sure if it exists already.... Well, it does now!

    Pumpkin Cookies

2 cups of canned pumpkin (home processed tastes better though)
    1 cup of margarine/butter
    2 cups of sugar
    4 cups of flour
    2 tsp of baking soda
    2 tsp of baking powder
    1/2 tsp of salt
    2 tsp of cinnamon

    OPTIONAL:
    2 Tbs of orange peel
    1 cups of nuts
    1 1/2 cups of raisins

    Preheat oven to 375F

    1. Mix pumpkin, sugar, orange peel and margarine until combined.

    2. Add baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Mix. Add flour gradually while mixing. If using a food processor, add all of flour with other dry ingredients.

    3. Add nuts and raisins. Mix.

    4. Place dough onto baking sheet or stone using teaspoon amounts.

    5. Bake 10 minutes. If using a baking stone, bake the first batch for 12 minutes.

    Makes about 4 dozen.

That's it! The finished product will be soft, fluffy like a cupcake. I prefer these cookies without the optional ingredients, but it depends on preference.

To process pumpkins: open the top of the pumpkin and gut it, like you would a jack-o-lantern. Cut the pumpkin in half, then quarters, then rotate 90* and cut into eighths. Put the pumpkin pieces into a roaster, pour a some water into the bottom and cook for 45 minutes, or until you can smell it. Or until it's soft. Scoop the pumpkin out of the shell and put it in a blender until the lumps are gone.

To freeze pumpkin: measure 2 cups amounts using a liquid measure. Pour into a freezer bag, label, date, and seal. Make sure there's no air in the bag. Lay flat on a cookie sheet to freeze. Once frozen, the cookie sheet can be removed. Defrost completely before baking.

Alright, I haven't made this before, but I think it might be people who like KH will enjoy.

    Sea Salt Ice Cream!

    - 2 eggs
    - 2 cups milk
    - 1/3 cup sugar
    - 1 teaspoon vanilla
    - 1 cup heavy whipping cream
    - Sea salt (be careful with this)
    - Blue food coloring (looks better with it) (optional)
    - Green food coloring (looks better with it) (optional)

    1
Separate the eggs into two good sized bowls.
    2
Beat the egg whites until stiff.
    3
Mix the egg yolks and sugar until thick.
    4
Slowly bring the milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    5
Pour the hot milk into yolk/sugar mixture and mix well.
    6
Pour milk/yolk/sugar mixture back into pot and heat on medium until thicker to make a custard (DON'T LET IT BOIL! also, if you can't get it to a custard thickness, just get it as thick as you can).
    7
Pour custard in with beaten egg whites and mix well.
    8
Add sea salt (keep adding salt until it tastes salty sweet, but be careful not to add to much).
    9
Put mixture in fridge to cool.
    10
Once cool, add cream and vanilla .
    11
(Optional) Add 12 drops of blue coloring, and 3 drops of green coloring.
    12
Freeze, following your ice cream maker’s instructions.
    13
If you don't have an ice cream maker pour mixture into 1 or 2 metal cake pans and set in freezer. Let sit until edges become firm, then remove and mix. Repeat until uniformly frozen.

    Tadaaa.

Alright all you Americans, here be an old Canadian favourite for ye! I’ll be posting this in both the Spam Zone, and in the Recipe thread, so feel free to look at both.

First thing, you need snow. Preferably that light fluffy snow that falls down in clumps. Get a good few inches of it, and make sure it’s undisturbed!!! If you walked on it, it’s useless. If you’re a germaphobe, pack the snow onto a cookie sheet first.

Second, you’re going to need popsicle sticks. Lots of popsicle sticks.

Next, you need maple syrup. Sweet delicious maple syrup. I suppose corn syrup will do. If you’re desperate enough to try it. Put this on a simmer on the stove and stir continually!!! If this burns, you’re going to have a hell of a time scraping it off the bottom of the pot. Cook until HOT. If you drop a bit into cold water, it should form a ball. 235F on a candy thermometer.

Finally, take your maple syrup and pour it onto the snow. In a line. A long one. Wait a while, maybe thirty seconds, then roll your popsicle stick, covering one end of the stick in maple syrup. Eat quickly!

This is the most delicious thing you can eat after a long hard day working or at school. Seriously. I dare you to try it.

This is not so much a recipe as a couple things that I did with brownies just last night that made a HUGE difference in how they came out. First, use this recipe for brownies, but double all the ingredients.
    http://allrecipes.com/recipe/mmm-mmm-better-brownies/detail.aspx

Next, use vegetable oil to grease a ~9x12 glass pan. Use a tiny bit extra oil on the edges.

Pour the batter into the center of the pan. This will force the extra oil up on top of the batter. That'll turn the edges crispy.
