Her dreams are filled with candy clouds, her days are filled with rain. Her eyes are filled with hopes and dreams, her heart is filled with pain. She reaches for a helping hand, she reaches for the sky, And from the space between the clouds, comes a soothing lulaby. So sing to me with passion, oh, sing to me with fear. And in this land of make believe, sing for all to hear. We'll raise our glass of poison, yes raise our glasses high, Cuz underneath candy clouds, innocence can't die. So tie yourself in ribbon, tie up the corners of your frown, Keep a smile on that face, don't let them see you down. They will feed off of your weakness, suck the life right out of your soul, You'll forget just where you came from, and all the magic that you hold. So close your eyes and don't forget, the place where you are free, Paint the city black in ash, and force them all to see.
Thank you so much! I plan on posting more of my poetry soon. Ill send you a link to them if your intrestd :)
Really feeling the flow and how this poem speak to the heart. My only downside is the text color although I could read it well its just a pain at times.
Im actully not sure why it did that. I copyed this poem from my poetry page on facebook i assume thats why? :/[DOUBLEPOST=1362008603][/DOUBLEPOST] Fixed it :)
This is where i sit now, untouched by Gods grace. Feeling the remorse i know ive been hiding from all of you. So ill sit here now, not to move a inch. As it is my prison to stay, in a world that uplifts the purest hearts. When in reality, i have no heart to be uplifted. (Nothing serious, just feeling moody tell me how bad it is? xD)
No poetry is bad, so long as there is some meaning to it. I liked it ^^ And don't listen to people when they talk about rhyming schemes or anything like that. Some of the greatest poetry has zero rhyming. I think it's absolutely lovely ^^
