So I got my paycheck today. $30, not much, but okay.

Went to go put it with the other two I have yet to cash because there's no place to cash them until I go home.

Spent a good ten minutes digging through my piles of stuff looking for them.

Realized the one that had my paychecks was the one that got knocked into the trash my accident last week by my roommate's friend.

Got pissed and dug through the trash for another ten minutes.

Only managed to find the $50 one, which now has a gross stain on it.

Cannot find the $25 one.

Got really really pissed.

Said friend is not coming in this room for a while.
I realize it was an accident, but that's not okay, man.

 

why are your paychecks so small do you work like one day a month

One day a week, actually. Four hours each time.
I realize it's crap, but it's better than not having a job at all. I'm looking into a better one, but for now this is the best I can do.

Also it's food service industry, what else did you expect.

I work in the kitchens at my college. As said up top there, the pay's not that great, but they're very flexible with my classes and I occassionally get free food.

 

That's not bad at all, considering you work 1 day a month, I give English lessons now and then. well best of luck.

Yeah......fb had to go bye bye for me to keep it straight. That and my friends and boss helping me by making sure I do my work.

 

Woah, I applaud you. I only do about 20 hours of work and I can barely find time to do my projects...

 

Yeah, and my hours will be increasing possibly within the next few weeks. And I have been doing work and college for awhile now. You find out what works and what doesn't.

 

I always wonder what would happen if I lost my paycheck. >: Once I thought I accidentally washed my pants while it was in my pocket but that, gratefully, was not the case.

I'm guessing that your employer could order you a new one, though?

 

Yes they can. One time, my co-worker had my last name and he had to get a new one printed out. I lol'ed

 

I'm sure I could, but really, I'm kinda pissed that I have to do that in the first place.

 

I do recall that one of my coworkers was put down for twelve hours of work when she actually worked twenty two (probably just a typo) and she had to get a new one, haha. I didn't know if they did it if you were just all "I lost it D:" though. Guess they have to, since if they're not paying you it's slavery.

I make like 250 each paycheck in food service, and that's after my hours got cut like crazy.

You know what I could do with a $30 paycheck? Go eat at your job.

 

250? That's cute.

When I worked in the food business, I worked 4 days * 7 hours and got paid approx $1,000 a month :D (When I was 17)
