What the hell people? This is crying over spilled milk if I've ever seen anything like it. Good lord, this surgery happened 8 years ago and this guy is getting fined NOW of all times? Just because he had an absence which wasn't reported? Actually, no, this is making a mountain out of a mole-hill. I know countries have different laws, but come on, if the guy had to have 22 surgeries to save his life, cut him some slack, he shouldn't have to pay. Of course if he doesn't, stupid people are going to come and auction off his family's stuff, which is also stupid.
It's moments like these that make me hate humans even more.

I wonder if it's the school's fault for not reporting why he missed so much school way back when.

I work at a law firm office, and I know for a fact that it can get horrendously backlogged in my state. And we're one of the smallest states when it comes to lawsuits because of our economy.

I've never heard it going back ten years, but that's just me. Also, as far as I know, the Statute of this type of **** only goes about seven. Maybe it's different, god knows.

But it's ridiculous, especially since it was a life-threatening emergency. The kid had a brain tumor, it wasn't like he was going out back to smoke weed or something during classtime, it would've killed him to keep it in there. They should drop the fine and apologize. I feel really terrible for the family and pray it gets straightened out.

One: If it was an error, then you're a very poor and pathetic excuse of a government. Quit playing angry birds on the phone and look at what you're signing off on. Seriously, who makes a mistake like this? Eight years ago and the matter was resolved in court.

Two: If this isn't an error you're very horrible people and should be publicly punished for your poor morals. Quit thinking of ways to fill the hole you keep burning in your pockets. Governments are all the same. Greedy, immoral, cheats.

I'd also like to comment on the school, if I may:

Who takes the mother of a child who's just been through an ordeal, especially one of this magnitude, to court over that same child missing school? Maybe you should be a little more like the government and care less about the people and more about the money filling your pockets, at least in this instance.

Sorry if any overwhelming emotions showed through about my feelings towards Government and the Educational systems. Hopefully this whole thing gets dropped and this poor woman can put this whole matter behind her.
