Ok, I want to restart Pokemon Emerald and FireRed, but the Pokemon I have are really badass (compared to the ones that trainers use in the games). Should I restart without trading them, or should I look for a way to trade them to someone else for safekeeping until I get the National Pokedex in both, or just restart without trading them anywhere? This is an important question, as I've put over 200 hours into each game. The Pokemon are as follows: FireRed Party: Charizard LVL 84 Known moves: Flamethrower, Earthquake, Blast Burn, Dragon Claw Pikachu LVL 73 Known Moves: Thunder, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Iron Tail Swampert LVL 86 Known Moves: Surf, Muddy Water, Mud Shot, Earthquake Mewtwo LVL 83 Known Moves: Psychic, Recover, Safeguard, Solarbeam Rayquaza LVL 100 Known Moves: Dragon Claw, Outrage, Thunderbolt, Fly Emerald Party: Suicune LVL 62 Known Moves: Surf, Bubblebeam, Ice Beam, Rain Dance Zapdos LVL63 Known Moves: Drill Peck, Thunder, Shockwave, Thunder Wave Articuno LVL 62 Known Moves: Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hail, Fly Moltres LVL 52 Known Moves: Flamethrower, Overheat, Fire Blast, Toxic Kyogre LVL 72 Known Moves: Hydro Pump, Dive, Water Pulse, Sheer Cold Groudon LVL 73 Known Moves: Overheat, Fire Blast, Fissure, Solarbeam So, which is it? Give no ****s and start over, or trade them for safekeeping, and retrieve them later?
Well my question is do you have a Nintendo Gamecube and Pokemon Colosseum? If you do you could trade them onto that and retrieve them later. I know you can do that with Fire Red since I have done just that with my Leaf green. I also know that with Colosseum you can retrieve them right away using Ruby or Sapphire so I'd think it should be a similar case for Emerald. (Yeah that means I started over in Ruby with level 100 Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos and Mewtwo)
I have never actually tried using a wireless but it may be possible to use one. But those cable are quite easy to find maybe you should look around to see if you can buy one somewhere.
I play Firered and I gotta say--that's a badass team right there. Most of my guys are Lv. 60 right now.You could buy a new Pokemon Firered game at Gamestop instead of restarting it because I think you wouldn't want to lose that badass team of yours.
I restarted both my FireGreen and Emerald, and uploaded my Pokemon into my Pearl game (then later into SoulSilver). Obviously I can't get them back in the 3rd Gen lol, but overall it depends whether you want to move them to a newer gen or keep them within the same generation of games. If the latter, I'd trade them off into one of your games then restart one (e.g. trade Emerald crew into FireRed, go through Emerald again and trade back and vice versa). Or you can upload them into the Gamecube games like Oda suggested.
