I got this game a few months ago and I love it. The psychic platforming is fun as hell and the writing is hysterical. Not to mention that the ending sets you up for a sequel. Thoughts?
I got it a few months ago for the PC. It was 9 bucks at Big Lots. I wanted it for awhile, but my comuter sucks at handling games. So, it's playable, but it gets hard to play cause it's slow. I still haen;t finished it yet, but I'm working on it. But it's a great game, very humorus, and I hope it gets that sequel soon.
I loved this game the first run through, and Richard Horvitz as Raz was a bonus. But after completing it once, it got kind of boring, it's very slow-moving with all of the loading time, and it freezes a lot. Unfortunately, a sequel is extremely unlikely. It came out in April 2005, and I think something happened to Majesco soon after. They became bankrupt, or something. Well, it seems that they're back on their feet now, but they probably decided not to make a sequel, or just forgot to XD It's a shame, I would have loved to see a Psychonauts 2, but alas, it doesn't look like it's happening.
Same thing happend with Beyond Good & Evil, but it's getting a sequel now. It's hard to convince publishers that cult games are worth getting sequels, so give it some time.
Good point XD I just checked, and it was made in 2003, that's one hell of a wait without any hype. Alright, I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Yea, your right about the low replay value thing, and a sequel is also unlikely because Tim Schaefer is working on Brutal Legend. Not to mention that Psychonauts had pretty bad sales. >_>
