My PSP isn't connecting to the internet because the security key is too strong. I don't want to downgrade it to a WEP or anything, so is there any way around this?

As far as I know PSP supports WEP,WPA and WPA2. So perhaps the error occurs for another reason?

It doesn't support WPA2, which is what it is for me.

My PSP could connect to WPA2 hotspots. But anyways, in the thread below it seems that there are people with the same problem and it mainly says that WPA2 (AES) is not supported, however if you change your router's settings to WPA2 (TKIP + AES) it will work. It has instructions on how to do that.

what exactly does that change, though? i don't want to change anything important.

and i just realized it downgrades the security, which isn't what i want to do.

I can't get that far because the encryption level is too strong for the PSP to support it.
