It looks like you'll have to wait for a little while before your vote goes through, though. Even after you get the confirmation e-mail, it can take 24 hours or more for the validation link to work.

Oh, and make sure to use the same e-mail address for both registration thingies. People have reported that using different ones can cause problems.

I think you have to register for the voting thing first and then register for GMG after you're done if you haven't already.
