We've been thinking about getting a PS4. This update is really pushing my "Trust me, we need one" argument."

 

Can I ask which features specifically? Not that I would ever deter someone from buying a PS4, because I love mine (provided they're not using the money they need to be spending on like food or rent on video games instead), but many of these features are addressing user requests and expanding existing features. Aside from the groups and communities, none of this would necessarily sell me on a console -- but perhaps you're really into those things. That and it sounds like you already really wanted one.

Well, honestly it's just me giving whatever reason I can to persuade my girlfriend that we must have one lol. We've been talking about getting one for a while now, but it'd be mostly for me. However, to answer your question (they don't sell me on the console, but I'm already sold; it's just icing on the cake at this point): screenshots (I've been begging for this feature in general for ages) and then Communities/Share to Twitter/Request to Watch features; I've been really wanting to get more into the gaming culture and that seems like it'd be a huge help.

 

This is basically all stuff that Steam already has, stuff like the Broadcast option to stream to people who request to watch, and Discussion boards and Community Guides for each different game. So I'm glad to see the PS4 catching up.
