Awright, so i'm determined to get myself a PS3 within' the next two weeks. I've been lookin' 'round for deals n' i found this one that seems pretty good.

    80GB version
I would be pleased with that.

But the 160GB version is out now. N' well, it's quite expensive.

I do realise that it has double the storage space which would come in handy i'm sure, but would i need all that memory just to play games n' stuff?

    Cheers me dears.

I would say 160 is quite alot for just games, but if your going to be downloading alot into it then it would be good. I would purchase the 80 if it were me,since I don't play many games at all.

    I heard the 80gb can't play 100% of PS1 and PS2 games.

Then go with the 80GB and if you want more memory buy an external hard drive.

Awright, another quick question before i head off to work. Do i need to buy a special cable so i can play it on a standard tv? We have a HDTV downstairs but my dad's like Mr. Karbs n' won't let us play games on it cause he's so cheap.

i would say go with 80 GB and then update the hard drive later on if or when it becomes an issue.

I go with the 80 that I have now.

The 160 seems like it would be only for game obsessers, Gamestop employees, or people with nothing but time.

Like Evilman said, there's always software updates. I'd go with 80gb. After all, when you cut through all of the stuff, both of them play ps3 games in a smooth way.

    Sweet! 8D

Awrighty. 80GB for sure. I'm gonna try n' get it before Christmas, even though i don't get paid till Christmas Eve. I have my ways. Aka, daddy. >:3

lol, i bought GTA IV today. xD It was £18 for a new copy! Crazy not to!

Any other games you'd suggest? It comes free with Lost, Resistance 2, Fallout 3 n' LittleBigPlanet. I was thinkin' MGS4 at some point as well.

MGS4 is a HUGE disappointment, i would wait until a price drop because that game is SHORT, will only last you like a few days anyways, plus the plot was horrible this time around IMO.

anyways, i recommend Devil May Cry 4. it's pretty good. Mirror's Edge is good (at least from what i've tried in the demo). Echocrome is a good game, it's kind of complex, it's a puzzle game, at least try the demo. MK vs DC is a good game despite popular belief, better than Soul Calibur 4 in my opinion. and Valkyrie Chronicles, pretty good.

i only got my PS3 like a month ago, so i dont' really know what else is out for the PS3.

really.....this game didn't last me long at all. i remember the previous games took at least 2 weeks for me to beat. i think it's because of it's straightforwardness. and the long cutscenes made playing the game feel more like a chore. and the story.....i don't know, i just didn't like it, it was too random at times, like watching an episode of Seinfeld. but that's just my opinion, the game apparently got high ratings though.
