PS2 help

my slim PS2 i'm guessing broke since it won't play any games. they all spin in the tray for like 20 seconds making clicking noises the says "could not read the disc."

i then tried on a fat PS2 but it's only compatible with slim PS2's.
anyone know whats wrong with my slim?

btw my game has NO scratches at all on it

i cleaned the lense but it only barely helped

 

I don't know what the problem could be. Is there too much dust? I have a habit of wacuming my own PS2's fans (not slim tho) once in a while.

 

none at all, i cleaned it today =/
still won't work

it use to only give me problems occasionally on PS1 games (mostlt FF7 and FF8)
then it started to occasionally not work on PS2 games
now neither will work

 

This happened to my big brother older ps2. I think there may be a loose part inside of it. I can't remember the exact part, but we use to open it up and wedge a piece of paper in it. It worked for some time. I suggest you don't do that of course, but i think a part within the disc reader may be loose or broken.

 

did he have a slim or a fat PS2?
could you please find out that part so i can hopefully get the thing working.

 

It was a slim, and it was a long time ago. I can't ask him either since he's outta town for at least another 8 months. XD

dude do NOT buy a slim. why? if you get a fatty, you can pretty much get free swap magic, and an infinute number of always workign cde devices by onyl buying one cheat device. but it DOES require a littl ebit of hardware stuff, but not much (simply taking off the cover and disc tray)

 

i already own a modded fat PS2
