Sony PS2 Classics sure seem like they are coming to the PS4

Good. No excuse for them not to be there.

Do we know if this includes PS1 classics?

I really hope for some kind of cross buy. And it goes without mention that this should be since day one, as both Ps vita/Psp and Ps3 are able to play these old games, there is no excuse for the Ps4 not doing so, It is a matter for the future gens as well since we don't want our games to be locked in one console, because Sony/Microsoft are expecting that next gen will be download only, like steam , but they are not giving us backlog catalogue, meaning they want to be steam without giving us the service steam provides. (Just like DC is trying to be marvel without 10 years of movies).

Not to mention that Xbox one is actually making their previous Xbox game free to download(only needs the game disc), making their Gaikai/Now inferior, if they do not improve their service it can be disastrous

Not to potentially rain on any parades, and I do not know the specifics of this at this time, but aren't some Playstation Classics currently not available on newer Sony devices. I remember being quite furious that the original Spyro series of PS1 games were not available to be played on the Vita. It was leaked sometime after the Vita's release (I do not know the specific date) that those games were available (specifically Crash games as well as the spyro trilogy) for a few days, and were swiftly taken down (and potentially removed from people's download list on the Vita). One can assume that this is some form of licensing issue or something, so if that is the case, would Crash Team Racing even be available to be played on the PS4 if PS1&2 classics were made available? I have my doubts, unfortunately.

This could be a Vita only thing, and I truly hope it is.

Still awesome news. I guess I understand why discs and PS2 classics don't automatically work because they're advertising trophy support and upscaling which would need additional attention. I don't own any so it doesn't particularly bother me, but then the selection is pretty limited at the moment (though I do love me some Twisted Metal).

Excited to see what other games are in the pipeline. Give me Primal or give me death
