-Rather than have everyone submit a character profile and wait to start the RPG until we have enough people, I've decided to try something a little different. I'm going to start this as a story (see below for more specifics) and post my resume at the bottom of my entry. Your first post will continue the story from your character's point of view, and your resume will be after the entry.

The basic concept for this RPG was taken from Zexion of the Twilight's Hunters of the Supernatural thread that was killed by spamming. Recently he gave me, Jade Rhade, permission to start it up again; I've made a few changes, however-

-NO vampires. Sorry guys, but I’d prefer to stick with the original concept of demons and ghosts wherever possible. Later in the RPG we can discuss whether or not to include them, but I'd like to start with just ghosts and demons for now.

-Takes place in a fictional city based loosely off Assisi, Italy... time period is about the late 19th century.

-Entries can be written in either third person, first person, or script format depending on whichever you prefer.

The scent of death. It wafted through the air on a soft breeze with its distinctive tang of the iron from human blood and the shadow from demon dark, gently weaving among soot-lined buildings and crumbling edifices as if a diseased wisp of black cloud. Those unfortunates still wandering the winding cobblestone streets of the city at this late hour instinctively began to retreat toward their warm homes; they perceived the danger without knowing how or why. Yowling strays scattered before its silent threat wordlessly promising despair.

In a dark alley forsaken by those who would rather not know of the evil that made its home in their once-fair city, a shadowed female figure knelt beside the limp form of a young child, newly slain. His blood leaked beween the cobblestones, mixing with the venomous dark staining the ground from the mortally wounded minor demon writhing in silent pain from a dozen cuts along its body; the only sound was the scrape of its hard scale against stone and a soft murmuring as the female made the sign of the cross over the dead child.

"Even if you kill me, human," the demon's harsh voice grated, "I'll only return to slay more of your wretched kind. My Father-" It cut off with a soft urk as a blade was pressed against its throat.

The female's hood fell, revealing long brown hair and piercing jade eyes. The sickly yellow glow of the harvest moon shone off the long, gently curved blade she held in her hand. "Son of Satan," she whispered roughly. "I will kill you as many times as it takes. Return to hell!" Her last word became a hoarse yell as she pressed down.

The demon's decapitated head rolled to the entrance of the alley, where a second cloaked figure stopped it with a foot before it disintegrated into the night air, vanishing without a trace.

Personality: Quiet and intense, Jade often intimidates those she meets. She tends to use violence to solve her problems rather than to rationally think things through; this often gets her into trouble. Most consider her to be dangerous and immoral; though she has a code of justice, none can fathom its particulars. She still doesn't quite grasp the concepts and rules inherent in living in a city.
Attire/Appearence: Pale skin, dark brown hair, and jade-green eyes. Wears a black leather skirt, knee-high laced black combat boots, and a plain white t-shirt. In colder weather, Jade wears a black leather jacket with a silver scarf.
Specialty: Demons
Weapons: Single scimitar/ skilled in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat... perfers to use her feet more than her hands or weapon.
Reason: Cursed to always see the demons and ghosts around her, Jade was sent away from the city to live with her grandfather. Said grandfather shared her curse and taught her to fight the undead around her. A few weeks after her 22nd birthday, her grandfather died, leaving Jade alone to battle the undead. She fights to honor her grandfather's memory.

right when jack apeared, a light came from th backway. a roar of an engine broke the silence of darkness. when the sound came closer, the companions could see a shadowed figure riding aggresively on a canary yellow moped. " screeeeeeeeeeeeech " was the sound when the auto came to a quick stop.
when the shadow figure came off the ride, the others saw a girl with a guitar and fire in her eyes. she flipped the goggles off her face and stared at the others and then the demons.
so she take her guitar and roars a sonic boom of sound

 

The second figure threw back her hood and with one hand flicked a long braid of midnight-dark hair free. "You're not going to be able to keep killing them forever," she remarked.

The other woman stood up. "I can try," she said softly. "We should bury the child, Karel."

"Jade," the woman known as Karel snapped, "there are more demons out there. If we don't stop them as soon as we can, more children will suffer the fate of this one. We should go." Her eyes blazed with an almost fanatical fervor--the right one brown, the other a predatory yellow. A jet-black tattoo ran down her left cheek, starting at the temple, crossing her left eye, swirling into a spiral pattern on her cheek, and continuing down the left side of her neck under her collar.

Jade snapped, "Have you no honor? Have you no respect for the dead? Are you going to leave this child to the desecrations of scavengers?"

"I have more respect for the living," Karel said calmly. "We need to get moving."

Jade picked the child's body up in her arms and threw Karel a dirty look. She walked out of the alley without a word.

More softly, under her breath, Karel muttered, "Scavegers have a right to life as well."

Personality: Bitter and cynical. She would not hesitate to kill a friend if she thought that it would get her one step closer to the deaths of all demonkind. For that reason, she is very hesitant to make friends.
Attire: She dresses in dark black leather pants tucked into calf-high black leather boots, a white tight-fitting long-sleeved shirt, a black leather jacket, and black scuffed work gloves. She also wears a tarnished silver locket that she never opens.
Appearance: Olive skin, black hair pulled into a long braid in the back, right eye brown, left eye yellow (as a result of whatever happened with her tattoo)
Specialty: She can shape demon energy into bombs, making her a bit of a demolitions expert.
Weapons: She swings a long chain with a spike attached to the end. When invoked, the spike glows red and explodes in fire on impact. For close quarters, she keeps a knife tucked into her boot.
Powers: In the close presence of demons, or under extreme stress, her tattoo glows red and burns to the touch. She can suck out the negative energy that gives demons their life and channel it for a short time to kill them or to make weapons... however, this is very dangerous, as she tires easily from this and could be overtaken by the energy, and die.
Reason: Her very first memory was seeing her parents killed at the age of four. She was raised by her older brother, Darren, on the streets until he was 19 and she was 15. It was then that demons attacked her city. Darren died in the assault, and she fell unconscious and woke up with a black curling tattoo on her left cheek that extends down to her left arm and onto her hand. She vowed to wipe demons from the face of the earth as vengeance for her brother's death.​

Suggestion: When posting, maybe we should quote the last sentence of the post above us?

 

Jade flinched as she heard a moped screech to a stop at the alley entrance. Still cradling the child's body, she ran toward the sound hoping to escape; she knew if she remained in the alley, the police would think that she had commited the foul act.

With a curse, Karel followed; she covered her eyes as the headlights of the moped shone directly in her face. When she lowered her arm and the sparkles cleared from her vision, she froze. Facing her were two teenagers; one female, strangely dressed and wearing goggles, and the other male, with what appeared to be a... dragon ear?

"What the hell are you?" Jade spat out, eyes darting between the two potential threats, hand on her scimitar's hilt. Already she could hear the wailing poilce siren heading this way; the child's parents must have reported him missing and were on their way to investigate. This was the last place she wanted to be.

 

Okay, we gotta be careful about post continuity. A lot of us are posting at once.

Karel's eyes flicked back and forth between the newcomers. "Get out of here," she spat. "This is no place for children." Jade flinched, as if remembering the slain child that lay some feet away, out of sight.

all of a sudden, she heared the sound of sirens
" damn, ill handle this" says haru
she jumps in the air of unspeakable height
points the guitar at the car and shots cry from its strings

 

OOC: Okay people! I have an idea! It's what I'd like to call "claiming"- what will happen is if you want to post the next segment, first post something along the lines of "This one's mine" or something; then use the 'edit' button to add in the actual story. That should prevent posting-at-once. Let's try this, shall we?

"Jade, no-!" Karel tried to stop her, but the other female evaded her grasp and leapt into the air alongside Haruharu, scimitar drawn.

"The police are just doing their job!" Jade screamed, scimitar held as if to attack the teenage girl. "Don't hurt them!" Her green eyes were wide in a panic; more blood, about to be spilled because she was too late!

Jade drifted slowly to the ground, scimitar clenched in her hand. "You killed them," she whispered, hatred burning in her eyes.

"Jade..." Karel started warningly, but fell silent as the green-eyed female shot her a glare.

"How could you?" she whispered, sheathing her scimitar with a snick. "Have you no concept of honor or duty?" Her fists clenched, her eyes never leaving the teenage girl's face. "I'm not going to be the one to teach you. I have a child to bury." Jade turned to the flaming remnants of the police car and closed her eyes, making the sign of the cross over herself before disappearing back into the alley.

She heard the female teenager begin to speak, but she ignored her as she went through the dead child's pockets. In one, she found a crumpled piece of paper that she smoothed out and read.

"What is it?" Karel came up behind her.

"It's an address," Jade responded. "I'm going to send a note to notify whoever lives here of this boy's death. His parents deserve to know."

"This isn't the country, Jade," the other female observed. "This is the city. There's no such thing as 'honor' or 'duty' here. You'd best get used to it. Those cops had it coming."

Jade shoved the piece of paper into her pocket without a word and cradled the limp body in her arms. "Does this city have a graveyard?"

And noticed the boy awaking with lipstick marks on his face.
"You kissed him? HA! 'Kay who are you? I'm hyper and a silent killer...answer!"
I slapped myself.
"Ow...Sorry for that...I'm split personalitied...And you arrrrrre? Anyway, I am a silent Ninja named Sanji...Know one knows my last name because I killed them before they could say it...but perhaps I'll let you live..."
