I know that this could use alot of work, but i think its getting a little better hopefully ^-^ I'm sorry but i messed up on the shading around the torso and it moved onto her skin. My scanner picks up almost ever mistake erased =/ CnC please =3
first of alll.... YOU'RE BACK! :glomp: XD XD okay... now time for the criticism... *clears throat* Well, it looks like the arms need to be a little wider. As you went down towards the hands you made them smaller, which is what I do sometimes, but try not to make them too small. If not then make the shoulders a little smaller ^^ Tha hands are really nice... you did a great job with that ^^ The arms would probably look better if you made them bend slightly at the elbows... And at the ends of the hair try not to make them flat. As you can probably tell, the ends of real people's hair isn't flat like that, and it seems to flow a little. Other than that great work and keep it up ^^
Hey, I'll take u've gone somewhere? Anyways, overall I think it looks pretty gd. The eyes are a bit too wide try to make them a bit smaller and spread apart. Also, try to make the dress a little more soft, it looks a bit stiff which clothing aren't supposed to be. The arms are a little TOO straight, try to make it a little more rounder and try to converge towards a center around the elbows. Otherwise, I think it's gd.
The proportions are off, especially around the upper body. The neck is too wide, and the shoulders don't curve downwards enough. Try making the neck smaller and shorter, and sloping the shoulders down. The necklaces should curve around the neck more, so they don't look as flat. The arms are very off, they end too small. After sloping the shoulders, bring in the arms slightly. They are also too straight, curve them more in the upper arm area, and the lower parts. The wrists are too wide, and the hands look squeezed in. It really doesn't matter if the hands fit in or not, just make sure the arms are much smaller near the wrist. It looks like there is also a sleeve missing, draw the other in. The ears are too high up, bring them down and make sure they are in line with eachother. The hair is too stiff, you need to loosen it up alot. Add more sections of hair, and don't keep than all on one line, make some parts longer and some shorter. Keep working on your proportions and evening out everything, it will improve your drawings.
The eyes are very large and be carful when drawing eyelashes. Eyelashes don't come out of the eye, they come from the lid, try to not accentuate them as much. As for the the eyes themselves, imagine drawing a + sign over the face. The eyes shoulg be on either side of the cross and you should be able to fit the leanth of one eye between both of them and also, the bridge of the nose starts between the eyes. Follow this advise and eveyone elses and yo'll be fine.
Traditional Art....in Graphic Art? That, doesn't make sense. o_o; Well at least they finally winded up doing the separation, yay kitty <3 Anyway on-topic; people generally covered some major problems here (well I think, didn't really read all of 'em), so I'll just add my bits; - Hands waaaay to small, roughly around the same size as face. Reiterate, roughly. - Pointing out, like what Kairi already said, about the upper part (torso) being way off in proportions. It's too small, make it much larger in terms of length. And, lol @ neck being the same width as torso. Kairi said the neck was too wide for the body, but considering the size of the head, I personally believe it's the torso which is way too small compared to the neck. So rather than reducing the neck, enlarge the torso. - Has eyes already been mentioned? Well there's that, eyes too big. Keep practicing! (You were Rikus#1fangirl (or something like that), right?)
Yeah, I got a name change lol I see my problems, its just that it looks much different scanned, than the actual drawing on the paper. I'll fix it up some more :)
Oh... that's downright scary. Proportions are terrible. Her torso goes down and hits her hips, which is a big block. In women, there is a curve there, not sharp points. Her arms have to be the one with the worst proportions. Putting it in that position with your skill isn't going to do you justice. Unless you actually have an example of a real life person in that pose, it won't do very good. They both seem to be very uneven. You seem to have random lines on the skin as 'details'. If it really is a "Prom Girl" then she shouldn't be wrinkly like a older woman. Her face has an extremely bizarre shape that doesn't even look human. When drawing, faces should be like oval or egg shape to put on more realism. Also, layout base lines lightly so you have a good idea of where everything should go. Base lines sort of look like this: Every artist does theirs a bit different for another.
Thanks Hissora. I do the head in the 'circle' technique, but i usually think i mess up as soon as i get the to the hair so i erase some of the head and try to fix it up =P thats not a sleeve, its like a band that goes around the top of her arm
