Greetings, everyone! Cutsceneaddict here, telling you that PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts is just around the corner! And this time, we've got a snazzy new promotional video to show you.

PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts is a fan-hosted event day for Kingdom Hearts fans at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom this October 25th. It starts at 3:00, ends at midnight, and has a whole lot of excitement packed in-between. It’s a one-of-a-kind event—part convention experience, and part magical day at Disney. And, because it’s taking place on a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween event night, you can show off your best Kingdom Hearts cosplay.

Our mission is to raise Disney’s awareness of the need to have Kingdom Hearts represented at the Magic Kingdom. In order to do this, we’re hosting a night where at least 300 fans attend one of Disney’s Halloween events dressed in cosplay or Kingdom Hearts clothing. At the same time, this event doubles as a Kingdom Hearts fellowship night for fans, where we’ll host lots of cool activities throughout the evening, like our giant Kingdom Hearts photoshoot—the largest Kingdom Hearts photoshoot ever recorded at the Magic Kingdom. We’re also giving away a lot of cool prizes, like a copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 (along with the strategy guide), Shiro Amano’s new artbook, a rare Kingdom Hearts 1.5 launch event poster, Kingdom Hearts manga, Seasalt Icecream lollipops, and more! We’ll be filming a documentary of the event, on-site, where you’ll get the chance to be interviewed and featured in our video; and if you’re from a cosplay group, staff on a fansite, or the manager of a local Con or fan-based organization, we’ll even represent you in the documentary that way. Our other events include a park-wide, photo scavenger hunt, filming for our cosplay music video, a Kingdom Hearts trivia challenge, and more.

Ultimately, our goal is to have Kingdom Hearts presented in the theme parks in some consistent way, either through merchandise, official Kingdom Hearts costumes, attractions, or some other presence.

For more information about PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts, be sure to visit our website: www.magickingdomhearts.com.

Also, feel free to watch our promotional video, which includes a special message from Mat Kishimoto (the North American project manager of Kingdom Hearts), coverage of the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Launch Event, and what other fans are saying about the project.

    See you at the Kingdom!

I'm rooting for you guys. I've actually met some Imagineers a while back who work with the Disney Parks and it didn't sound like there was anything Kingdom Hearts related at that time (I talked to them in mid-July). They're focused a lot on Star Wars and Avatar (James Cameron) at the moment. When it comes to that, they're going to do something that's popular and will guarantee to bring people in. It's why they re-opened Captain EO after Michael Jackson's death and why they're currently creating a Star Wars theme park. As much as I love the series, I really have to say that Kingdom Hearts is not that huge of a money maker for them.

They probably have a rough time bringing it to the parks since gaming isn't a big aspect of the parks to begin with and legal-rights issues when it comes to Square-Enix.

Hopefully the representation will help. I wish I could go (I got myself some Sorcerer Mickey cosplay for Halloween this year) but I sadly have university.

I wish I could go. Next year though, I'm hoping. You explain everything so well, theres so much raw power in that video. It Gave me chills. Ohoooo. What you're saying I've been saying for years! I really hope Disney recognizes Kingdom Hearts as an amazing game. The CEO has said that they hope that they can "Create a great game" cause thats where Disney is lacking. But they HAVE one. I hope that your project will get some attention so they can realize that this is the game their looking for. *Ahem* Rant over before I give myself a stroke Lol. XD I hope everything goes well! I'll be keeping tabs on it!

Really wish I could go as well. Sadly I'm going to Disney in January, and I can't really justify to myself (or my wallet) adding another trip on top of that (especially when I just went this January as well!). But I wish you guys the best of luck. Thanks a lot for sharing this with us!

That's very true. Disney is certainly focused on other areas right now. I'm hoping that they'll realize, though, that Kingdom Hearts is worthy of putting in their theme parks (even if it's just in some small way, like a Seasalt Icecream stand). Of course, if they decided to create a KH-themed area, I certainly wouldn't complain xD Thanks for all your support, Tummer. :) Hoping to see you there in 2014!

I'm so glad you got so much out of the video :) I wanted it to be very thorough and give that good old Kingdom Hearts feeling of nostalgia.

It's so true. Disney has an AMAZING game. They just don't seem to realize how much they can do with it as far as implementing it in the parks goes.

Don't give yourself a stroke! xD Thanks so much for following our project. It means a lot to me and the rest of the cast.

I'd love to see you there, Misty. :) Maybe next year. I hope you have fun at Disney this January!

We need all the cheering we can get! Cheer loud, now :) And thanks for letting us feature our first podcast here on KH-vids.

I wish I could go too, but I'm very, very, VERY far away from Disney World. If my family had plans for Disney World this year, maybe I would go. :3 But there's always next year!

They posted a bit about it on their Twitter account around when it happened. I haven't heard from Cutsceneaddict since, but I said that once the event was over she was absolutely welcome to make another news post with pictures and impressions from the event. :) So just stay tuned.

If anyone attended feel free to tell us what went down!

Hey everyone! The event was a success :D We had around 120 attend and were recognized by Disney staff and park-goers. We raised about $160 for our next event in 2014 and got some fantastic photos. Here are a few things you might enjoy checking out :)

Our cosplay music video, filmed by two of our event attendees:

Our album of pictures on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.444375922340427.1073741837.351463924964961&type=3

More is forth-coming. We'll be putting together a documentary of the event and continuing to announce our plans for 2014!

Thank you guys for your support ^^ I've heard nothing but good feedback from this event and everyone's ready to go again next year.

I remember talking to you about this months ago, but it remained the case I would have never been to get the funds to make the event at all. :/ I'm sure I said it at some point that I sincerely hoped the mission would be a success, and it sure sounds like it was! I truly believe this is a great initiative. It was a love for Disney that led to a love of Kingdom Hearts; two very different in essence, actually. I've dreamed of one day seeing something KH-related in the parks, and you, good people (Especially you, Cutsceneaddict) are evidently turning that dream shared by many into a reality. Here's to hoping I can make 2014!

Thank you, Sebax. I still have the message you sent me about the project those months ago, and I still read it now and again. It was so encouraging, especially early on when the project was still finding its feet, and it's just as encouraging today when I read it. Thank you for standing with the project all this time. I hope to see you in 2014! :)
