The controller of Project Café, the supposed 'Wii successor', has had further details a8out it revealed. As one might expect of Nintendo, it is far from conventional, 8eing said to give 'ta8let like control to games'.

It has a six inch touch panel, a camera and a rechargea8le 8attery. It can 8e used as a porta8le gaming device, while the camera allows for various player interactions, such as the cre8ion of an avatar.

Oh, and it could be released mid-2012.

I'm not sure about a Wii sequel but this looks a lot like taking a DS to the console stage to me. I don't know, this isn't doing much for me. It reminds me a lot of linking a PSP to a PS3, just flushed out a bit more since it is standard.

I feeling rather cynical at the moment so I'll save a 2-cent review for later.

What is it with Nintendo and weird looking remote controls? I mean, aren't their consols shaped oddly enough? They have a cube, a prism...a funky looking clay? block...
