No Thanks Pre-Set User Title for Premium Members?

By default, their user title is Chaser for reaching 1,000 posts.

However, while they're regular members (just with more perks), what do you think of them having a default user title of Premium Member like my custom one right now?

The "Chaser" title was intended to fit in with our current hierarchy of Kingdom Hearts themed usertitles ( Moogle Assistant, Kingdom Keeper, etc. ). The staff are not included in the Kingdom Hearts theme to avoid confusion among members. Changing it from "Chaser" to "Premium Member" might be more exact, but it would break the nod to Kingdom Hearts. So I'm at a no.

The default, pre-set title for Premium is Chaser, for those who don't know. Just as staff members can, they can still customize the title, or revert to the default whenever they choose.

The only difference would be that members reaching 1,000 posts would have Premium Member as their user title rather than Chaser.

Fair enough. I mean, Premium Members are still regular members; they just have access to a few more things, such as a Premium Members forum and unlimited username changes.

I haven't seen any lately, but the reason for this suggestion is that I feel like there's a potential for new members to confuse us as being on the staff team, seeing as how all other members with colors are on the staff team.

A lot of people know what premium means, and since not everyone uses custom users titles even when they can (e.g., I'm sure you'll go back to Administrator sometime), if this were changed and someone ran into a pink member with the default user title, they would have an easier time noticing that they're not staff with a user title of "Premium Member" rather than a user title of "Chaser." That's how I personally look at it, anyway.

 

There's information in the FAQ regarding username colors, a staff listing page, and the staff online block. Additionally, when we update to 1.2 we'll utilize staff banners to ease it even more. So few people use the default user titles when given the option to change it that I doubt this will ease any confusion.

In any case, please go ahead and mark this as "Rejected" and feel free to lock it as well if you feel like this doesn't need any more comments.

 

If anything, I'd be fine with changing "Chaser" to "Keyblade Master" or something of the sort since I'm not sure if people do remember what Chaser is ('specially since it never came up after that secret ending, lol).

 

I'm fine with that, as yeah, Chaser is an outdated term. If you guys would like to suggest potential new titles we can make a poll (or just go with Keyblade Master).

 

I wouldn't mind a fresh batch of new user titles, personally. I can start a poll if that's fine with you. :)
