Anyways, Leonidas and Maximus were both great parts in Western Civilization history... I like 'em both. I was just giving you a hard time.

 

It doesn't matter. All that matters is whether they looked cool doing it. Rule of cool is the only rule when it comes to ancient wars.

 

I liked them both aswell, they we're great at what they did. Don't really care that Rome still stands today, because I've been there and seen it. And if Sparta never fell, and hypothetically speaking won the battle against the Persians with just 300 then I'd be telling you that Sparta still stands and that Rome fell. Either way, both cities & countries have great pasts.

 

Do you have something against Rome? You seem to take this quite seriously. Anyways, sure the Battle of Thermopylae had a big impact on Sparta but their biggest mistake in my opinion was overtaking Athens. I mean after that they only had like 10 ships worth of soldiers left...
