Hello everyone! You may have noticed an increase or decrease in your post/message count after the forum came back up. As many of you know, we've had some troubles with the add-on that counts posts within the Roleplaying Arena lately, which has resulted in it being disabled for several months now.

Thanks to the extremely diligent and dedicated work of @libregkd, we've worked out a solution to the problems with that add-on. Not only will posts now count as they should within the Roleplaying Arena, all of the posts made in the times when the add-on was temporarily disabled that should have been counted are now properly accounted for... so if you're a regular roleplayer, you should see a nice boost in your post count! Those of you who were pushed over the 1000 post mark should now be pink.

I want to extend our gratitude to the roleplayers who have been patient with us while the add-on was disabled. I know it's terribly unfair to not be getting the post count you deserve, especially if you're nearing Premium. Also a big thanks to @Jayn and @Plums for helping me with some of the tedious work involved in this update.

If you're not a roleplayer but your post count has increased (or changed) substantially, in doing this we rebuilt everyone's post counts for the first time in a few years. Sometimes, when threads are moved or we change some settings, post counts are not updated accordingly -- this has been rectified in the rebuild. Notably, posts now count in Community News & Projects. Most of you should be seeing increases; any decreases will be minimal.

Note: If you are a roleplayer and your post count doesn't seem quite right, feel free to start a conversation with me and I'll take a look.

I hate you, Misty! You made me lose my 4,000+ messages! Obviously, I'm kidding.

But yeah, shortly after moving, Premium Members was counting posts for a while, and then the Castle Oblivion section counted for a while during the event, so it's nice to see accurate numbers again.

Edit: And I'm behind Jayn and Repliku again, BUT I'm ahead of Mark! Mwahahahaha!

Praise be to the gods!! 400 + posts. Finally 2K. I knew I would get there once this was fixed, just didn't know how many exactly. Thank you everyone for all your hard work. It's greatly appreciated.

You guys kept me on from getting on last night. I found it so funny because you left a message saying everyone was in bed and there I was at midnight trying over and over to get on even though you were trying to fix the issue.

But too bad I find it hard to stay active in Role-playing, otherwise my post count would probably be much higher

I never did say exact numbers for my change.

If I remember correctly, I had 4,036 before the maintenance, and then after I had 3,850, so I lost 186 posts. However, @Misty, I do have a question: why did some of the non-roleplayers or former roleplayers have such a drastic change, especially considering you did rebuild members' post counts back on vBulletin. For example, @Sanya V. Litvyak (Mark) had almost 4,100 posts before the maintenance (around 4,090~, I believe), but now he has 2,718, so rounding his previous count to 4,090, that's a 1,372 loss.

It's been over two years since we rebuilt, things get messed up in that span of time.

Even for people who barely posted in post-counting sections since then? Heh. Technology is pretty interesting.

To add onto this, the last time post counters were rebuilt was when we were still on vB, so it could be quite possible that there was some mess up that was previously unnoticed due to vB being poop using a different software. All speculation of course, but yeah.

It doesn't matter, really, but just a small correction: I had 4,034 before and 3,849 after, so I lost 185.

Nice to see this section counting posts now.

That moment when I have no idea what my count used to be, so I don't know if it went up or down at all.

I saved all staff's member cards from the April Fool's Day prank.

This is your count from April 1, 2014, which I don't think changed significantly since:

I feel like the fact that you had that information should surprise me more than it does.

I don't think I've made 40 counting posts since then, so I probably gained a few.
