358/2 Days Possible Paradox?

I just felt like I needed to get this off my chest.

Now as you may know, 358/2 Days is taking place After CoM, BUT why do we see the killed Organization members in the game? Is it possible they were brought back somehow? Also if you notice, If it's before then how is Sora sleeping?

We can also pretty well say that they were killed off in Castle Oblivion. If they were still alive then Marluxia wouldn't be in the game as seeing Sora would've completely locked him in the Final Room of Castle Oblivion(Sora's Story).

I'm gonna believe that something brought them from the dead and more than likely found a way AROUND the keyhole to free Marluxia. I dunno.

Actually, I think it's a mixture of before, during, and after. That would make the most sense. It would start off with after Roxas was created, which was around the time Sora became a heartless. Then it would progress from there.

 

Azure your point actually makes sense. But didn't Xion come in soon after Roxas or so? If that's the case, how come we see Marluxia and the others during her arrival?

 

I thought it was going to be something like straight from when Roxas is born (When Sora stabs himself) through COM where a few characters die off from the story mode of days and then until the fight with Riku where Roxas gets taken.

 

That makes sense. But I think you also wanna add that possibly the 6 leave? But isn't Axel with Roxas most of the time?

True. During one of the trailers Roxas asks Xemnas (i think, maybe some other member) if Marluxia and the others are back yet

 

like marluxia battle 1 maybe they are all illusions you kill in CoM

Have the CoM-characters been seen in the trailers during 'cutscenes'? 'cause if not, they could've been shown only for the multiplayer thing, not in actual game-play...​

I thought this game took place before Sora woke up....wow, so if Sora did kill Marluxia, then they is suppposed to be dead in this game. hmm.....unless the game takes place before and after Sora goes to bed for two years.....:ninja: this is confusing.

 

358/2 Days begins at Roxas' birth and ends right before his capture. The game's prologue covers his birth (which was before CoM), but the real game starts after CoM. Seeing the CoM members present when Xion joined the Organization, I guess it's safe to say that she joined right after Roxas. So it's no paradox; the CoM members should be gone after the prologue.

However, in multiplayer, you can play as all 14 members, including the CoM ones. See, multiplayer is a "completely different world" (as Nomura calls it) from the actual story. So the CoM members being there is not canon.

 

Quote for the true, If I recall correctly Axel even say to Roxas something like "come to visit me to castle of Oblivion sometime" or alike... I should go and look for the scan >_>

 

It takes place from ending of KH1 all the way to Prolougue of KH2. Probably, towards the end of the game, the guys in Castle Oblivion all die, but in beginning and middle they live because in the storyline they aren't dead yet.

 

Yeah I mean theirs nothing that says the Castle Oblivion members stay there 24/7, they could just have easily gone to TWTNW during COM.

 

Well, Roxas's naming was confirmed to be the beginning of the game, so... I think this is what is going to happen. I don't think it will start too far away from the start of CoM, though.

 

Im thinking it's before, during and after COM.
That way they can include them and stick to the story.
