As I was searching The Green Day Authority, I stumbled upon this: This intruiged me. There was also a article about this on G4: LINK and on Kotaku: LINK. What are your thoughts on this? EDIT: It appears that there will not me an entire Green Day Rock Band game, but they will be one of the "featured" artists on the next regular Rock Band. Songs will include "21 Guns", "East Jesus Nowhere", and "Know Your Enemy".
Green Day has made their mark on Music History, they by far probably made their own music genre by now. They are an old band, I remember hearing their "Bulovard Of Broken Dreams" when I was 12. Making a Rock Band of Green Day seems rather fair to the old men. They need some attention. I liked most of their songs, but some seemed to have repeated themselves. :/
Their own Rockband game? That seems a little extreme to me. There are plenty of other good bands out there worthy of this as well so it kinda seems a bit random that they chose Green Day. Meh.
Pretty much agree with these. It's true, they're old, but so are tons of other bands. And although they are well liked, they don't have Beatles, Metallica or Aerosmith status.
They might be talking a track pack instead of a full game like they did for AC/DC. I'm fairly certain that full games are saved for THE most important bands (like The Beatles).
Green Day doesn't seem big enough for a whole game. maybe a trackpack, like cloud3514 said. I think they should make , and people might get mad at me for saying this, a U2 Rock Band. At this point they are almost as legendary as the Beatles, and I don't think there have been any U2 songs in Guitar Hero or Rock Band, so they could be saving it for that, but I digress. It would be great to play Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) because that's one of my favorite songs.
I didn't think they made enough music to warrant a full game. Maybe a track pack or DLC, but not a full version of the game. Plus, how many albums have they made? 3? 4?
