durhurhur Anyway, it's far too bright. There's bright in a good way and then there's bright in the way that says "I had a lot of empty space so I just over exposed everything to hide it." You can do bright things, but there still has to be dark areas and detail. I do think that the smudging is pretty though, it kind of emulates wings to me, which is definitely an interesting effect--I'd of liked to see you maybe putting a white line drawing of some wings over it, if that makes sense. I think that might spice it up. Or you could have no been going for wings at all, in which case I'm an idiot, but you should still try. The random yellow at the top of his head is bothering me, don't add random colors in like that--if you're going to have a color, make sure that it's consistent with the rest of the colors. You've got a very vintage/washed out look here, and then you've slapped on a very saturated yellow. Doesn't make much sense. I do like the big clipping mask, but I think you could play with it more. Try setting it to Exclusion, that sometimes gives v. pretty results.
