Plot Twist: Sora becomes a Keyblade at the end of the game and Riku wields him to unlock Kingdom Hearts.

The reason for this is because Sora is the unwitting Key to Kingdom Hearts. This is why Sora is able to wield a Keyblade himself despite not being chosen (lol, you thought it was because of Ven? No, no.). This is also why there are so many hearts connected to Sora, because Kingdom Hearts decided it to be so because it needed its Key to grow powerful enough to be able to unlock it. Kingdom Hearts is the governing body of all hearts, the place all hearts go when they die , and the heart of the original world before they were all separated (i.e. god). Riku, a chosen keyblade wielder and also a heart connected to Sora since childhood is the only one who can wield Sora - the Key, and unlock Kingdom Hearts - locked due to the massive collision of light and darkness during the Keyblade War, thereby reuniting all worlds into the original world - Kingdom Hearts (a fantasy setting where Disney and Square characters live side by side), the setting for everything post-Xehanort Saga.

This started out as a joke, but damn it actually sounds kinda awesome. I want this

Eh, I dunno... I kinda like my hypothesis better, but this is interesting. Gives new meaning to being "the one who will open the door," haha.

    Plot Twist:

Xehanort is actually Sora's Ancestor from the past, and when He dies, so does Sora.

I like Sora as a zero, not a hero. I don't think he was chosen, but became "the one"... but let's wait.

That doesn't sound like it leaves itself open to NEARLY enough sequels

    I Loled at this. xD

The truth is... >:3 Sora is in fact NOT the chosen one, but it was just a mistake due to there being another character in Kh3 that is named Sora. That mysterious narrator that keeps telling Sora that he's the "one to open the door" just so happens to have gotten the person mixed up. You will later discover the Sora we have all gotten so comfortable with isn't even named Sora. Sora only thinks he is Sora because he is actually inside Ventus's dream!!! *GASP!!* But wait there's more!! Although Sora is inside Ventus's dream, you will later find out that Ventus had also dived into Sora's dream. So what is it? Is Sora inside Ventus or is Ventus inside Sora? NEITHER!!! The truth is that Sora AND Ventus are inside TERRA'S HEART fighting away the darkness! That's why "Sora" is constantly fighting these re imaginings of Xehanort!! The old Xehanort is manifesting himself inside the dreams as his heartless/Nobody! That is also why when Sora and Riku take the exam in 3D, you see all the past selves of Xehanort! And while I mention Riku, this character is in fact TERRA'S MIND being projected as Riku! Why do think Riku becomes the Keyblade Master instead of Sora? Sora is the main protagonist, right? That's because they're inside Ventus's dream which is inside Sora's dream, which is taking place in Terra's heart!!! *GASP!!* That is also why Riku becomes master!! Get it? Terra was trying to become the keyblade master, but failed!! This exam was his "second chance"! And since Ventus also wanted terra to become a keyblade master, Riku ended up becoming the keyblade master in this second chance exam within this dream within a dream within Terra's heart. Aqua on the other hand is still inside the dark realm with Ansem the wise. As time flows differently there, when game nearly reaches its conclusion, the player will find out that Aqua looks EXACTLY THE SAME AS SHE DID IN BBS!!! :O

And guess what? The real true villian of Kingdom hearts is really......DONALD DUCK!!!! GET IT? D.D? Donald DUCK!@ DOOR to DARKNESS!!! :O You find out that it was really Donald who was pulling he strings all along!! That's why the bad guys always know where the good guys are!! That's why heartless are REALLY spawning in the worlds you just so happen to be in!! Everything you knew was a lie!!!! ALSO, you find out that Mickey mouse was dealing with Ego issues, because it was King Mickey who came up with the term, Keyblade Master. Get it? K.M!! King Mickey = Keyblade Master!! And on that note, that's why he has everyone except Riku refer to him as King Mickey!! :O

To be a keyblade wielder, you don't need to be chosen by another wielder, but you can also be chosen by the keyblade itself. If not, then how the first keyblade wielders where chosen? They were chosen by the keyblade itself

    @DanceWaterDance:
By the KH's mythology it was stated that the first Keyblade wielders forged their keyblades to resemble the X-blade.. so it is possible to "artificially forge one Keyblade", In the series he have saw it happening when Riku/Ansem/Maleficent made the Keyblade from the princess' hearts .
(Or maybe someone really did "touch" the X-blade , and thus became the first master )
Also one could argue that the Keyblade flow from Kingdom Hearts the same way Hearts come from there, some Keyblade are "World's Keyblades" :

    1) Like every keychain we get over the games

2)At least Kingdom Key D , was phisically on the Dark realm and was found by mickey.

So one could conquer one of those "natural Keyblades" , become worthy of it and thus a "true keyblade wielder". Also the world doesn't necessarily had the "same laws" as it has today, when the first Keyblade wielders appeared the world was one, so perhaps it is much easier to get the keyblade than the game make us belive, it only that the Keyblade wielders did so much damage to the world that the ones that remained started to control who could use them to ensure another keyblade war never happend again.

He was chosen by the keyblade itself, just like Sora, while Riku was a keyblade wielder because Terra chose him.

But he actively asked for a keyblade, and then went adn trained to get one. That doesn't sound like a keyblade choosing him to me

According to the KH wiki, the keyblade can be an extension of ones self. That's why when Lea forged his own keyblade, you see the the whole fiery design on it with the chakram weapon as the blades guard, handle, and key chain. So I do agree with Menos Grande and hatok, as I believe in the games lore, they do talk about the first keybladers forging their keyblades in the X-blades image.

You can't just "ask" for a keyblade to have one.

I have two theories that a lot of people may not agree with, but my gut tells me that it is all a possibility.

First (and completely unlikely), Sora gives into the darkness in his heart, for real this time. A lot of the story is spent from the view of Riku, especially DDD. He went into the darkness and now the story has been focusing on his redemption of a hero. He's been able to find a balance between the light and dark in his heart, which is one of the big morals in Kingdom Hearts. Sora hasn't done this; there is not a balance in his heart between light and darkness. Something tells me that the way he is now won't be constant, that something will embed into his heart to force that imbalance into the opposite direction.

Second, King Mickey will die. I'm kind of wanting for this, not because I dislike the lovable mascot, but because it feels right. As the game series grows older, so do the fans, and they are wanting something a bit more mature. Naturally, the games have gotten darker as time progressed. Mickey has always been there to bail Sora and Riku out, but the two need to learn to do things on their own. Think about Gandalf, Dumbledore, or any other great story where the hero has to face off against the darkness. At some point, the mentor has to be taken out in order for the hero to prove himself. Granted, it seems that Yen Sid has been taking up more of the mentor spotlight so maybe he could be the one killed, but I don't think that would have as much of an effect in the grand scheme of things.

And I really hope they do something interesting with Lea because [ommited long rant about how bring back Axel was just a move to get fan girls to buy the game and he shouldn't have been brought back and that he is absolutely useless and they are ruining his character].

But he was chosen by his heart, not simply because he ask for it. He SUMMON the keyblade, but he didn't receive the ability to HAVE a keyblade. If you can have a keyblade just by asking, then it would be full of keyblade wielders

He goes to Yen Sid, asks for a keyblade, gets a keyblade. There's not much else to it. He did some training, and got a keyblade. That's it

I don't know, but don't take kh wiki too seriosly, sometimes I found wrong informations or informations based on opinions, never stated in teh game or by creators. Howewer, I noticed now that this was supposed to be a joke thread, :|[DOUBLEPOST=1384969462][/DOUBLEPOST]
So you think that Yen Sid gave him the power to wield the keyblade. That maybe, howewer this is my opinion, but you could also be right

I don't think Yen Sid even had much to do with it. He just sent Lea to train with the faeries and Merlin
