Remember this? http://kh-vids.net/threads/should-i-ask-for-a-refund.137532/ ok. I'm writing the email I am going to send the seller and here is what it says: how does that sound? should I tone it down? because I feel like I'm being really mean. I am terrified. I'm not sure that I am able to demand them to pay the shipping, since their return policy says they don't pay return shipping. edit: I'm reading on their faq here, and it says that ebay requires the buyer to pay return shipping. so what now, what should I do?
You should check out the suller's return policy. In my experience eBay sellers are pretty decent people, especially if they sent you the wrong item. The email comes off as a little angry--which you have every right to be--but people are far more likely to work with you if you're not threatening. They might offer to pay return shipping to keep you as a customer. Even if you end up paying return shipping, it's pretty reasonable and it is, after all, eBay policy.
Quite frankly, I'd try to make it sound a little bit scarier, but that's just me. Just try to make it really clear that they will have lost you as a customer if they don't meet your extremely reasonable demands and they'll probably give in. If they don't, then they're idiots who should be reported to E-Bay as soon as possible.
From what I read ebay requires buyers to pay return shipping regardless of circumstances, and reading the sellers policy they do as well. I took of the last couple parts that demanded them to pay the return shipping. tbh this isn't something I care to fight anymore so long as I get refunded, and shipping is only $5 anyway. ebay is such a hassle I just want to get it done with. I've had do deal with demanding buyers even when I had done nothing wrong. It's not pleasant having to deal with someone like this, and the only reason I make it sound as mean as it is is because I actually have a reason to be. they've already lost me as a customer.
