Pikachu's Gender...The Answer Is Finally Here

Okay, I did my research on absoluteanime.com which is like the very best and most accurate Anime website ever and I went to the profile of Ash's Pikachu.

It said Gender MALE.

There you have it folks. Pikachu is a boy.

I seriously don't understand all you people who thought he was a girl...

I always thought from the very beginning ever since season one that he was male...and I was right...

I just thought I'd share this knowledge with you all since so many people here don't know the truth...

That's only half true.

At the end of every episode, pikachu is killed and replaced by another pikachu. Gender is hard to determine with 500 some pikachus.

I'm talking about Ash's Pikachu from the show.

 

Are we talking about the Pikachu or the others? Ash's Pikachu is a male :3 But there are some female.

 

Was there ever a time when a female Pokemon used attract on Pikachu in the show?

I know that. I just wanted to tell everybody that Ash's Pikachu is male cause most people don't know that for some reason...

 

Pokemon don't have genders. They refer to them all as "its"

 

You have obviously never played a pokemon game after Red/Blue/Yellow. Pokemon have genders. Some can only be one gender. There is an ability that relies on genders. Hell, they have cross-species sex, and have babies, which someone hatch fully developed. So yes, they have genders.

 

Yeah I only watched the anime because I was like 5 when those games came out. (didn't like video games back then)

 

Don't mind me. I'm just looking for the relevance.

 

The aforementioned website could simply be going on the facts of what has been happening in the anime so far, as in suspecting that Pikachu has been a male all along. Though I find it quite obvious right now, I wish to know where they have received their facts, or it could not be considered necessary canon.

O.o I think they referred to Pikachu as 'boy' more than once during the series. So the gender was clear from the beginning to me.​

 

They wouldn't change it now, with the clear gender differences between the two sexes.
