I wonder why there aren't any. I mean, there's one for PC, but it's not very publicized. and pianos and synthesizers are a big part of a band, as much as a guitar. the hard part to tackle would be a piano controller, with all those buttons, but there are so many buttons on regular controllers, and consoles these days can handle at least 4 of those
Because it is not as appealing to as many people as playing guitar, bass, or drums like rockband/guitar hero. Never know though, one company might give it a whirl one day and make it into a game.
I know Paramore has used the keyboard but piano's wil only appeal to parents trying to force their child into learning the piano
Coldplay, Elton John, Keane, Evanescence, countless movie soundtracks (although they don't count as bands), piano adaptations of songs on youtube get millions of views, I could go on and on, and most bands have pianos somewhere in their songs. the game could also be keyboards, which, if you listen to most any song from the '80's or '70s is there, bands like Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Yes are famous for their synths, and alternative bands today use a lot of synth.
I know many bands have piano in them. Thing is, my question point out the fact that the general gaming audience wouldn't care for a piano-focused game because of how little it's recognized in modern music. Also, you can't really go wild and have fun on a piano the way you can with guitars or drums. It looks weird and probably feels weirder.
You can, but you're not sane if you do. Like that one guy who married his 13 year old neice. He was a huge star, and really went wild when he played. He even used his butt to play sometimes.
I see you de-repped me for being "ignorant", yet I explained that such a game would not appeal to the mass audiences, due to there not being as much stage appearance for piano playing. I am disappoint.
I de-repped before you explained. you said "Name some bands famed for their piano." and I thought you were acting like the multitudes of musicians that are famous for piano don't exist. sorry
Just remember not to assume things so quickly :> Anyway, I don't think a piano would even work in a video game. Just think of trying to map all of the keys to the button lay-out of a controller so that they all (or most of them) have an input. Also, the problem of size (larger than a drum set), unless you're using a keyboard.
