    I'm not sure what you can do for your phone (not very techy), but the phone companies probably won't make padded phones. It goes like this: You drop your phone and break it. Then you have to buy a new one. Profit for the company. Or, you drop your phone and break it, but you had the warranty. Loss for the company. But there is a greater chance that you didn't get the warranty than that you did. Either way, you still need a new phone.

    This can be locked. We got a new phone of the same model and everything when we went down to Wenatchee yesterday.
