Hey all, I'm Jean. I write poems a lot, but for some unusual, mysterious, and non-existing reason, I only write it when I feel a strong emotion. Specifically; sadness. The subjects mostly revolve around death/suicide, love (but I'm too young to know about that), and fear. I hope you enjoy! "Death" This one I just laughed off after I wrote it, heh. Pretending smiles a day before No one knowing what you're facing for During a night with a broken tear It all stopped because of fear Your parents wake up in the morning Seeing a body not breathing They see with big hearts breaking And blue eyes tearing ~~~ "Dive To The Heart" I don't know why I wrote this, it's random and cliché. Jesus it just sucks A key to a kingdom Where happiness lies freedom The bounds of friendship As hands take grip Behind a door Lies a world without horror A heart fractured Can always be cured ~~~ "Wallflower" It was inspired by a book called 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' Rather awkward and shy, Knows the square root of pie The Rocky Horror Picture Show Played on stage with a feather bow Reading a book called 'Fountainhead' But the name 'Sam' lays in his head ~~~ "Wayward Wind" Because Ventus is just awesome When I fall in to a deep slumber My memories that keeps getting darker A voice I hear that keeps getting louder Then cuts through the darkness deeper I meet the voice from whom belongs To a boy that solely longs To visit each world that's divided By pure darkness and hatred ~~~ Uhm, comments? Does it suck too much? Not enough confusing words that makes your head pound? I have to think positively more often? Uhh... just type what you think. Heh. I find it all simple and cliché, that's how I roll, criticizing my own works.
It's not too cliché at all! I really like these ^_^ I like the different moods going on ^_^ I may suggest trying to use happiness and other positive emotions to your advantage too :) And youre not too young to know love...You have family, you have friends...As a human being love is inside us all at all ages :3 You say "Dive to the heart" sucks but it's actually my favourite of these :3 I don't think they suck at all! :D
The strongest of emotions makes the best poetry; this is why much of literature focuses on love, hate, life, death and the progression of time. Your poetry is beautifully written, yes depressing, but writing down your thoughts and feelings is a healthy form of expression. I hope whatever happens though your life, you stay strong and you keep on writing.
