People are so rude sometimes

Recently I read that a man broke into a family home only to get violently beaten by the family.

First thought that went into my head was "How rude of them to do that."

People need to understand that being a burgler isn't an easy job. First they have to take the time to scope out the right house to rob, so you should feel appreciated that the burgler picked your house out of all the homes on the street. They also have to deal with the stress of wondering if you have an alarm or not, whether you have a dog, what kind of dog, is it a big dog or a little dog, do you have a gun, will their life end that night over a TV and some jewelry.

If somebody breaks into your house you should offer them something to drink, ask them how their day was, and point them to where all your valuables are hidden to help save them the trouble of knocking over everything to look for them.
