Join a cult, get laid, find a job, explore the world. You know... all that bs that seems to make people 'look at life a new way'
lol, I would advise you NOT to do that... instead, try to explore your interests. There's a lot of different options out there, you just need to find what works for you. lol, I'm having a lot of trouble finding my place, too. Find out what makes you happy, and do that. My dad says: "If you get a job doing what you like, then it's not really work." Hope that helps! (And, you know, I hope that you're being serious and not sarcastic. If you're being sarcastic, then I just opened my heart for no reason. Oh well, if it helps anybody, I don't mind.)
What if the job you seek is a neurobiologist, yet you lack all the skills to be one? Unfortunately, some of our dreams have to comprimised, because in reality, no one is going to let you cut open their head without the skillz. There is more to life then money.
But I love money D: No wait I love what you can do with money I hate islands so that's not gonna work.
You're right, some dreams are unattainable, and yes, there is more to life than money. If your dream is something like a neurobiologist, than my advice to you is study hard and get ready for years and years of school. However, it occurs to me that the real issue here is finding your dream, rather then making your dream a reality. Obviously, Mr. Pumikin hasn't pegged neurobiologist as his dream career. So, my original advice stands. Try out a bunch of different things, find out what your strengths are. Write a little, draw a little, try out an instrument or two, maybe you're good at math. Maybe you have a natural ability in the world of science. Maybe you can sing. There's a world of possibilties, open your mind and try something new. You might find your dream in the proccess.
The Discussion section is starting to leak through to here. My plan is working. And you said about trying new things. It's exactly what I advised. Cults try different things, including orgies and mass suicides. Won't say I recommend to do EVERYTHING. I'm not going to go: Try murder, you might enjoy it Life's too short, have an affair But yeah try what you enjoy and keep it ethical and legal if you can.
Take a personality test online. Find out what your Zodiac is, read what it means, same with your Chinese animal dude.
Act impulsively. Life is too short to be wasted on legality. Fall in love with somebody and pursue them endlessly. That works for me...
If you don't know who you are yet, find out! You'll learn through all your experiences, so try and have as many as you can, don't let opportunities pass you by. Just think of the type of person you would want to be and try and get there. Except if who you want to be is a ****. Don't do that.
Being yourself isn't something you have to try to do. It's just who you are. You're being yourself all the time unless you're actually trying to be someone else. So the phrase shouldn't be "Be yourself", because you're going to be. It should be "Don't be someone else."
