Pausing a scene

    Stupid Idiotic question on the way, but I must for the sake of whatever.

    So in some videos I've seen that a certain spot has a scene from the game and it's just paused while something else goes on. So basically, the scene does something, stays paused for however long while the music keeps going, and then either continues or switches scenes. How do you do that, because I just don't get how that's done.

    well, I just mean making a AMV, normal video, whatever. I just don't know how to make it continue for a period of time
