>Building block game >lol it's minecraft This needs to stop. Anyways, I like the art direction and use of physics. Hopefully, as a physics-based game, the physics will be deep and hopefully enough it keep it entertaining.
I remember hearing about this game a while back, seeing it now actually it looks like it could be a lot more fun and enjoyable than say, Mincraft. If the physics of all the objects feel genuine enough you could have a lot of fun constructing things, I'm always reminded of Forge Mode of Halo when I look at this, but obviously completely made just for building things, not a tack on to a shooter. It could be a lot of fun.
But it's a fair comparison. If Minecraft didn't exist and was so popular, then this game would not exist.
Not necessarily. Any game that goes with the building block concept automatically gets labeled as a Minecraft clone, and if it's fortunate enough that it doesn't, then Minecraft is used to explain what the game is. So if a game is trying to take a different approach to the building block game, gets labeled Minecraft, etc, players will be prejudiced and have certain expectations. So if they love Minecraft, they won't think it meets standards.
