Owl City

Great band. They're very low tone and electric. Hello Seattle is by far their best song.

 

I'm not a fan. I do like the emotronic genre a lot, but Owl City is just too bland imo.

Listening to Hello, Seattle now.
Only other song I know by them is Fireflies.
heard it on the radio a couple of times without paying attention to it, but the beat was catchy.
Then I heard several times in the campus cafeteria, but it was too loud in there to hear the words.
I had the beat stuck in my head for at least a full month without knowing the words, who it was, or the name of the song.
Then someone posted it on Facebook and I realized it was it.
Loved it.
But I 've listened to it to much, it kinda got old.

Owl City is ok, but im not a big fan of OC though. Owl City sounds like Jonas Brothers if you ask me, but opinions are opinions :/

Owl City doesn't really appeal to me. Just isn't my type of music and, like Misty said, too bland. I've heard Fireflies before, probably like three times, and I still didn't like it. I've heard probably like three other songs and to me, the beat are just the same. Not sure about any other songs since I haven't bothered listening to more.​

 

Ghetto I think what Spaz refered to is to those people who go like "OH MY GAH I EFFIN LOVE OWL CITY ADAM YOUNG IS DA BEST" , you ask them what's their favorite song and they aaaaall go " OH IVE JUST HEARD FIREFLIES DATS ALL BUT I LOOOOOOOOOVE THEM" lol it's kind of irritating. I do lik fireflies but it's not my favorite, never has been.

Anyway I love Owl City, one of the few artists I put their albums on shuffle and I don't get the tiny bit of changing the songs. Technicolor Phase is by far my favorite c: and it's gonna be on the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack.

It's funny because I made this thread almost a year ago when Owl City wasn't ****** and famous by making Fireflies and getting a million girls in America to want to have sex with Adam Young.

If you've liked Owl City for anywhere from 3-4 months and like ONLY Ocean Eyes, then gtfo this thread and go look at Maybe I'm Dreaming and Of June.

Also, saw a show a week ago when he was playing. It was the shit.

 

I've been a fan of Adam's work for quite some time now, my friend introduced me to his music awhile back. At first I didn't like the electronic beat but soon I learned to love it. I love how the song topics he chooses, they are refreshing. I mean only Adam could pull off a song about Dental Care. Haha.
I also love his collaborations with Matt Thiessen from Relient k. Along with the songs Tidal Wave and Terminals they have also helped each other with songwriting and such. What a beautiful combination of artists (at least to me). (:

 

Owl City is awesome. He is really good at coming up with witty lyrics and I often find myself laughing to myself at some of the songs (in a good way, of course). My favorites are Saltwater Room, Hello Seattle, Fireflies, Dental Care, Hot Air Balloon and Meteor Shower.

 

I'll be honest in that I hated Fireflies when I first heard it. It grew on me a little, then my sister bought the album and I listened to it.

I love almost every other song on that album more than Fireflies. I have no idea why they released it as a single.

My favourites are Hello Seattle, Dental Care and Tip of the Iceberg =]

 

I love Owl City. My Fav songs are Technicolor Phase, Fireflies, and Vanilla Twilight.
