I'm a little...well...I dunno what to think about that actor. Haven't really seen him or heard of him. He doesn't look terrible I suppose. I wonder if Toby will make a cameo appearance. 8D Stan Lee better make his own appearance in this movie. Or else the movie will suck. <<
I'm not going to say anything until I hear his 'Spidey' voice; Toby looked like a decent Peter Parker, but his voice stunk for Spider-Man/Peter Parker. Not too mention that there weren't many of Spidey's jokes.
^This^. Anyways, I believe this movie should turn out fine. I mean, most of Marvel's franchise(and DC's just to generalize super-hero movie genres) turn out good. The actor does resemble Peter Parker from the newer comics I suppose.
I'm pretty excited about this. He kind of looks the part. I would go see it. Although, I've never seen the actor before, so I dunno. It seems so early to do a remake already, but maybe that's just me.
He looks like he can pull of the geek Peter Parker look. He actually looks a bit more like the Peter Parker I think of than Tobey did.
I love Andrew Garfield. Soooo I'm happy. :lolface: He's so adorable in the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. ^ There's his voice for you. (Not Robert Redford, you know what I mean). I gotta say, for a British guy that's a pretty good American accent.
'Nuff said about his role as Peter Parker. He looks a lot like the Peter Parker I've read in comics, and has a good voice sound. Now, we'll have to stay tuned for the other characters in the movie, like Peter's friends or the antagonist.
I am honestly restless to know who will play MJ. I honestly think that Minka Kelly would be good. For who does not know who she is, I have a clip of her from (500) Days of Summer Spoiler This is probably a stretch, since people have their own images of Mary Jane.
That looks like a fairly decent actor for Mary Jane. However, the actors could get pretty screwed up, and perhaps The New Spiderman could end up like The Last Airbender. But , that really depends on the producers/directors of the film.
Haven't heard of him either. He looks okay but I also hope the Toby makes a cameo. And Stan "the man" BETTER have his cameo that he deserves.

Emma Stone is playing Gwen? I thought I read somewhere that she was playing Mary Jane. Oh well, I am happy she is not. Emma is beautiful but I don't think she would fit Mary Jane.
If I recall correctly, she was initially on the list of actress wanted for Mary Jane, but ended up being cast as Gwen instead. It also turns out that she's a natural blonde, which probably helped the switch of roles.
HOLY CRAPOLAS. I love Rhys Ifans. :'D He plays my papi. Well, Xeno Lovegood, in the Deathly Hallows. And he was godly in Pirate Radio. I wonder how he'd do as a villain. I'd bet he'll pull it off quite well in all his snazziness. c: EDIT: Apparently, he's set to play "The Lizard"?
So glad I found this thread. xD "The Lizzard" is Doctor Connor. =D He's one of my favorite characters! I hope they do him justice. The only thing I'm worried about now is what they're going to do with MJ and Gwen in the same movie. We all know what happens to Gwen (in the comics). I was a bit upset that it never happened in the movie.
Okay, all of this is nice, but I want to see Venom. A new Venom. A proper Venom. The big muscular trash-talking schizophrenic pyrophobic maniac I know and love. Goblin? Whatevs. Lizard? Eh. Spiderman 64-style Venom? Yes please.
