Can't wait because all my life I've more or less been stuck with ****** laptops with single core processors and intergrated graphics cards. I'm finally going to be able to make an AMV and render it out without sony vegas giving me the finger and crashing 70+ times before I've even got through 40 seconds of it.

Prebuilt since I'm getting it on credit but I've looked at the motherboard and asked around about it for a while and even though it comes with a decent graphics card I'm still gonna look in to upgrading it primarily adding another 8 gigs of ram along with a quadcore processor (As it's a dual core I3 3.4 GHZ) and changing the PSU after all of that I might consider upgrading the graphics card in a years time but for now it'll be able to run most games on mid-high settings. Personally at base it's pretty good for me cause I've only ever had laptops with 4 gigs of ram or less and a 2.60 processing speed as my highest, god knows how I've been able to run PCSX2 on all of the laptops I've bought though and make AMV's with them

Everyone keeps telling me to, but honestly I'm too lazy to build my own plus I'm getting this pretty cheap since my moms been with argos for so long she got a discount for 50% off ANYTHING as a voucher for her birthday so literally from paying 500 for a tower built for gaming we're paying 250 about 350 in total with monitor and headset

I'm not going to tell you what to do, you should do whatever is best for you financially, etc. However I will mention it is really easy. If you can plug things in, you can build a computer.

I know, I know a lot of my friends have been nagging me to build my own cause they know I could do it if I could be assed to get the parts together but eeeeh If I wanted to build my own for a low price I'd imagine I wouldn't be able to get much of a graphics card due to budget. as you can see i'm getting the rest of the cost for the pc on credit after I use the discount cause I need a new PC like, now. If I was building one I'd need to pay for the parts straight away and etc so this way is easier for me financially but I'll probably build my own once I get a part time job so I can slowly buy the parts myself (cause my moms basically gonna pay it off as a birthday present seen as I'm turning 17 next month) I appreciate the thought though thanks C:

You are lucky that you can get a new PC. What graphics card will your PC use?

Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 2GB it's okay atleast i'm not paying for intergrated graphics and it's not really luck xD

I've been stuck with basically the same laptop for a while now and every laptop I get is more or less the previous laptop my mom or dad used before buying a new one this is the first time I'll be getting a completely brand new untouched computer with good-enough specs for doing the stuff I normally want to do.

It is lucky though My mom has that 50% discount on the tower though

Yeah, If I had to pay at full price for everything it would have come to around 660 or 700

only complaint is I might need to wait up to 10 days for the tower to get delivered cause argos doesn't stock them in store , it's online exclusive but we have to order it from store to use the discount

Dang, that's a nice video card. Tell me, what is the difference between AMD and Nvidia video cards? I'm Planning to get an AMD A10 Radeon video card for my laptop.

Personal preference, some games run better on certain cards but the difference is almost not noticeable, there are some exceptions however. I for one have always preferred Nvidia

The A10 isn't a GPU, it's an APU -- it's a CPU/GPU combo. It'll be outperformed by pretty much any dedicated GPU, so if you're building a system for gaming, don't bother wasting your money on one. If you're just building a PC for casual web browsing and maybe some very light gaming an APU is a decent choice -- I've got an A10 in my laptop.

AMD and Nvidia are different companies and there's no one difference between them. If you're choosing between the two, just take a look at benchmarks for the GPUs in your price range, and choose what gives you the most bang for your buck.
