I have seen this on other sites, but in their profiles they are able to change whether they see swears or ***. It may help some people feel more comfortable and will DEFINETLY stop the whinging. (as some of us are sick of people who whinge about the stars)

It's just an idea that I had to get off my chest.

It sounds like an idea, but then people who shouldn't be reading the swears would set it to off and be able to see every swear. Even though some have already seen them, since some members bypass the filter. So really, asking for there to be a choice, would be like asking to remove them completely, since practically everyone would shut it off.

But I've noticed that some people don't like the talk, or they are to young, so they could keep the filter on

Yeah, but only very few of them are like that.

I agree... Removing the filter will just cause more problems...

May I ask what other sites you have seen that on? I'd like to have a look.

Also, we wont be doing that, since as Azure rightly said, everyone would switch the filters off, so it would make censoring redundant anyway.

People will just have to learn to live with the fact that some words are censored. Bypassing the filters just makes people look pretty lame in all honesty.

    Anyways, suggestion denied
