OOC - Final Fantasy X: Eternity's Cycle

Story

1000 Years ago, Zanarkand and Bevelle created a war between Bevelle's Machina and Zanarkand's Summoners however, Zanarkand was losing.

Yu Yevon, a summoner of Zanarkand and its leader, devised a plan to both defeat Bevelle and preserve the city of Zanarkand forever. Yu Yevon called the surviving people of the city together and transformed them into fayth as conduits for a massive summoning that created a spectral version of Zanarkand from the dreams of the former Zanarkand inhabitants.

Yu Yevon set this Dream Zanarkand out to sea, then called pyreflies to himself to craft the first Sin. Sin was given two objectives: protect the Dream Zanarkand, and to ensure it was not discovered, and to destroy any city that grew too large or relied too heavily on technology. The strain of trying to control Sin was beyond Yu Yevon, and the process destroyed his mind, removing any conscious control he may have had on it. Sin thus became a monster that knew only its two instincts, and indiscriminately attacked cities and villages all over Spira, starting with the true Zanarkand itself.

To allow Spira a reprieve and hope for salvation, Yu Yevon's daughter, Yunalesca, presented a way to destroy Sin - the Final Aeon, a powerful aeon born from a bond of love. Sacrificing her husband Zaon for the ritual, he became the Final Aeon and destroyed Sin. Yu Yevon's spirit possessed Zaon's body, and over time Zaon transformed into a new Sin. During this time, the new Sin was too weak to terrorize Spira as it grew, establishing a temporary time of Calm. Apparently the only one able to create the Final Aeon, Yunalesca became an unsent and taught the people of Spira that if they atone for the sins of Bevelle and Zanarkand during the Machina War, one day Sin would be vanquished for good.

Now it is 1000 years later and SIn has returned every 10 years since then and Lord Braska's daughter, Yuna is about to go on a pilgrimage take up the role of defeating Sin but fate throws in a twist, Tidus, son of Jecht arrives in Spira, claiming to be from Zanarkand but little do people know, Yuna's journey will be remmebered always, but that's not all, a Summoner requires Guardians to protect them on their journey and that's where your characters come in, will you lend your aid to Yuna to defeating SIn once and for all or will you join with Yevon to allow the Spiral of Death to continue endlessly, that's what we're here to discover.

Rules

This is an RP based on Final Fantasy X but instead of there only being Tidus, we're throwing new Characters with their own backstories as these OC's can be a Guardian to Yuna or a Follower of Yevon.

Romance is accepted but keep at it PG-13 or 12.

Posts must be 3 sentences or more.

Don't godmod, Not everyone's invincible, even the Main Characters or Anatagonists have to be exhausted or killed eventually, a Villian may retreat and return stronger than last time but in the end, he is still defeated.

Now for the Number of OC's alllowed, it shall be three OC's to one person, Nothing higher than that, you can have 1 OC or 2 if you feel you can't handle three at once, all that is required is an single OC ro particpate.

No Spoilers for Yuna's group either, this RP will strictly follow the storyline meaning Yuna and co can't be told about Yevon's true ideals or that the Final Summoning requiring a sacrifice, your characters can know about these things like Auron did but it's mostly. with just more OC's with their own backstories and battles.

FInal Fantasy X Characters are indeed up for grabs, for the sole sake of making sure all of them get their lines and etc, two FFX Characters can be chosen, if no-one else wishes to obtain a character, then those FFX Characters will be given to people who will use them for plot based purposes.

Q. Why are you making yet ANOTHER Final Fantasy X RP?
A: I know I created a FFX and X-2 RP and the first one was a complete success with my fellow honourary RPers, Bushy Brow, twlightBlader and of course, my girlfriend Aerith G. Anyway... The reason for this is because the first FFX RP as much as I must admit it, my OC, Dean Stark was actually taken from WIld Arms 5 and his appearance based on Haseo from .hack//G.U even bringing in Skieth, the Terror of Death as an Aeon whiel Kazuhiro was kinda based off Ovan, that to me, didn't give me originality when my fellow RPers did their own characters and made them personally their ownselves,

Q: So is this RP meant to give you a chance to go for a fully made OC with his own personal backstory?
A: Yes.

Q: Will there be anything from your RPs that will be retained in this RP?
A: Yes, the Human/Aeon will remain, anything else, you'd have to ask the other RPers or for permission to use their ideas then ask to allow it.

Q: WIll your honourary RPers you mentioned before return?
A: -Chuckles- I don't know the answer to that one either, if it does happen, then that in itself shows how much of fans of Final Fantasy X we are.

Q: Was there anything you did in the FFX RP that gave it a new spin, from your own character?
A: I made Dean actually be kidnapped by Yevon and with kazuhiro, the two were experimente don and have Aeons stored inside their bodies and the two never aged at all, Kazuhiro went insane from never having the chance to meet his sister again whiel Dean forgot his memories as he escaped, leading the journey of FFX to regain those memories, he eventually learns to harness the Aeon's power, this concept of human's capable of using a Aeons' power directly instead os summoning came from .hack//G.U as well.

Q: Is there anything you loved from the RPs?
A: There are so many good moments in the RPs that it's memrorable, Yuna's bed hair being a playful joke on her even after the incident, Daichi's almost tragic story of his sister being killed by fiends and he was all alone, going to extreme measures to overdo himself and almost died had Yuna and her group not come across him, the parings that came from it, the concept of Seymour's last act to make his OC sister, Lukya Guado a Maester in hopes of saving the Guado while he was slowly losing his view on things, Dean's guts of punching a Ronso without caring about the consequences, there are too many to count.

Name: Thorn

Race: Spiran

Appearance: Tall, spikey blonde hair, blue eyes, wears Black pants and a red shirt.

Weapons: Swords. Main Weapon: Sting of Fate. It has a gold hilt and a black blade.

Overdrive Name: Blade du Magia
Overdrives:
1-Poison Spiral: Slashes an enemy multiple times and renders them Poisoned.
2- Thunder Strike: Throws his sword at an amazing speed, so it is almost like a lightning strike.
3- Fire Spin: Creates a spiral of fire that can suck multiple enemies in.
4- Element storm: Combines Fire Spin and Thunder Strike while casting Blizzaga and Watega to create a storm and deal heavy damage to opponents.

Personality: Can be cruel and dangerous as an enemy, but as an ally he is caring and a valuable asset. He despises Machina, and enjoys watching Blitzball matches.

Biography: Thorn lived happily with his mother and father. One day, the Al Behd raided his home and killed his parents with Machina. In a fit of rage, he mercilessly killed the Al Behd and destroyed the Machina. He then set off to find allies so he could take revenge on the Al Behd.

Overdrive Techniques:
1. Fallen Strike- Ryo jumps into the air and slashes down at the enemy
2. Shatter Slash- Ryo rushes forward and slashes the opponent, weakening their defense
3. Divine Wave - Ryo raises his sword to his side and swings it horizontally and releases a power wave of energy
4. Blade Dance- Ryo rushes forward with his swords and rapidly slashes threw his opponent 14 times in a high speed that makes him barely viable. For the 15th hit he grips the blade tightly with both hands, raises the blade to the air and slashes down with powerful explosion.
Personality: A well master of hiding his true feelings. He is a very laid back and relaxed person that tends to go with the flow. He likes to joke around, but only those that he cares for. In reality, Ryo is a calm and serious person due to the pilgrimage he is taking part in. He bears a great hatred for Sin and will do whatever he needs to take the beast down. He has a great sense of determination and knows exactly when to be serious. He prefers to not associate himself with anybody, but is too polite to ignore somebody. He would do anything to protect somebody he cares for.
Biograpahy: A teen devoted to defeating Sin. He is not much of a worshiper of Yevon and his Magic is lacking, but strangely he takes the role of both a summoner and a guardian who guards himself. He well known for his swordsmanship and his idol is Sir Auron. His only skill is swordsmanship and summoning. He has gains a huge amount of negative criticism from the people of Yevon for his decision to be both a guardian and summoner. They believe he is merely making a joke of the pilgrimage and feels he won't get far at all. His past adds onto the negativity the people of Yevon feel for him

Personality: Kari is a cheerful and respectful girl among the Al Bhed. If she gets angered, it's not a pretty sight, especially for the ones who angered her. Kari is willingly to sacrifice herself to protect her friends.
Biography: The only daughter of a kidnapped summoner and the Al Bhed who captured her, Kari grew up on the desert island of Bikanel as a foster child of Cid after her parents' death and good close friends to Rikku and Brother. She's the forward player of the Al Bhed Psychs and frequent in English and Al Bhed. Kari was part of the excuation team that found Tidus and seemed to believe him.

Personality: A very shy and timid individual, Lukya is keen to the traditions of the Guado and very quiet. To all of the Guado, Lukya is considered a princess because of her polite manners and the position she was born into. She is close to her family and friends.
Biography: Lukya is the daughter of Measter Jyscal Guado, and as such she is the half-sister of Seymour. Most of the Guado consider Lukya the true heir to the position of the Guado leader and more suited for the job than because she is a full blooded Guado, despite the fact Seymour is older and half-Guado. Her only desire is to a Guradian, so she can experince the pilgrimage and give freedom.

Personality: Alexan is a spoiled brat because of her connection to the family of Guado leaders. While she appears friendly, she considers Lukya her rival because she believes she's not worth the title of Guado leader. Alexan will do anything, but nothing extreme, to get what she wants. Not afraid to speak her mind.
Biography: A relative of the Guado leader's family, Alexan believes she's more suited for the role of the Guado leader than Lukya because she had studied harder for the position. Alexan is a deeply devoted follower of Yevon and feels that anybody who isn't should not even exist, even if she thinks they're cute. Alexan does not believe in going on the pilgrimage and doesn't understand Lukya's desire.

1. First Slash: Charges forward at enemy and delievers a slash upon it.
2. Twin Drive: Charged at a enemy and slashes horizionatally right a shis behind the monster and returns, slashing from behind, leaving a X like cut across it's torso.
3. Limit Breaker: Raises sword coated in magic before it creates a second sword of magicial energy and he attacks with a flurry of blows before stabbing the magical sword into his opoonent and sets it off, causing a explosion.
4. The Ecilpse: Summons six projectile black energy swords ebhind him, almost akin with wings before dlievering slashes with each one once and leaving it buried within his opponent before stabbing his weapon in the centre and letting loose a charge of energy.
Personality: He can be understanding and kind when he wants to be, but he can be reckless such as facing off against stronger foes in a solo battle, increasing his chances of being killed but with it, he gains more experience, in battle, he becomes focused at teh task in hand of what he should do.
Biograpahy: Masaru was just your ordinary average every-day Spiran, enjoying life during the Calm at the age of 8 with his family but then SIn returned after the Calm and wiped the town he lived in off the map while he went out with his teacher to train, no one survived but his teacher had told him to live on as a Sinspawn was left behind and Masaru almost refused had it not been his teacher's dying wish, so he took the next ten years of his life to work on his swordsmanship and to help travellers with their problems for a small fee, many people in Spira refer to him as the 'Black Swordsman' due him always wearing black.

1. Cyclone: Manpulates wind to do her bidding to attack.
2. Firestorm: Conjures up Fire Magic and uses her control over Aero Magic to profel the flames ti spread like wildfire.
3. Conductive Shock: Casts Water on a opponent and with Thunde rmagic, deals a great amoutn fo damage as water conducts lighting.
4. Relentless Assasult: Summons elemental circles around and above the enemy and with a command, elt's losee a powerful barrage of each Elemental Spell that is available to her.
Personality: A friendly person once you get to know her, but she isn't so naive to be taken advantage of, but in truth, she's afraid of being left alone and dying by Sin.
Biograpahy: A young lady with exceptional talent for combining her magic for new attacks however, she hates battliling and fighting on the front lines because she doesn't have much confidence in her abilites and afraid of dying, her family are in fact wealthy and decide her life for her and she internally desires to be free of such restraints.

Although I've never actually played FF-X... I do know pretty much everything about it. So I think I'll join when I get back from my two-week holiday. Until then, feel free to start without me.

 

We shall now discuss where this RP should start at, throw me your ideal starting points.

 

Well, in the last one, we started with Tidus arriving at Besaid, skipping over the beginning of how he got there. I would say start at the temple.

 

Besaid Temple? That does mean we're introduced to Tidus, Wakka, Lulu, Kimarhi and of course one of the hottest girls in Final Fantasy, that sounds like a good pooint.

 

Not at Besaid, but Baaj Temple when he meets the Al Bhed. Actually show what his interaction would be with Kari at that point.

 

That does sound like a good starting point, it does get to Besaid soon after that.

 

Ok, where exactly are we starting? I don't exactly remember all the names of the temples, it's been years since I played FFX.

 

We're starting at Baaj Temple, where Tidus ended up after arriving in Spira. I'll start us off, due to the fact Kari is part of the team that finds Tidus.

 

Giving our thread a bump since I'll be taking Lulu because giganormous gazoinkers tits just Lulu it's just Lulu, the boob mage black Mage.

Anyway, yeah, I'm Lulu now.
