I don't care HOW late it is, and I don't care WHAT they were doing on Cutthroat Chef. If it's almost midnight and you're tired, DON'T try to make mac-and-cheese. It started with me almost opening the cheese packet and pouring it in the boiling water directly after I dumped the noddles in. Then I almost forgot I had something on the stove and the noodles were too overcooked. I almost picked up the pot without putting on potholders, and then when I had pot holders, I almost set the back of my hand down on the burner to get a better grip. Then I dumped about four bites of noodles into the sink when I was trying to strain it, and I couldn't figure out why until I realized I'd grabbed the wrong lid for the pot, and there was a gaping hole for the noodles to pour out of. Finally got them strained and put in the same amount of milk I put in when making four boxes for my fam. And ended the night with oversalting the entire thing because I got distracted by seeing the salt fall.

Luckily for me, I managed to stop myself right before each occurrence, but next time I'm hungry and it's very late at night, I'll stick to frozen burritos. You only can ruin those two ways: Accidentally adding too many zeroes to the cook time, or leaving a fork on the plate while it cooks. I'll tell you, nine-minute burritos... Not so good.

ikr? It confused me too. I mean, with my past record with insomnia, making mac and cheese should be as easy as walking. Especially as I cook mac and cheese more often than any other thing I've ever made. Really, my record of functioning normally without sleep is three days. I don't know how this managed to conquer me.
