Traditional Art One of my drawings...

Ehm..yeah what do you think. Please tell me is it good or bad? I draw for years and i try to become better but many people say that my drawings suck. They actually laugh at me. Even my best friend...She actually said that i torture the drawings and other things like that...I want to work for Disney or any other big cartoon/anime company but first i need to know. Should i give up or continue? Opinions are welcome.
P.S. I know the picture is not that good.

Shouldn't this be in Art and Graphics? Anyways, the sketching is good. Try more details though. Especially shading. Looks good though.

 

Thanks. It has shades but the picture is bad. I love shades in drawings. I'll go check it.

 

Yeah I saw them. I just meant that if you wanna get good you have to make drawings with loads of shadings, helps out a LOT.

Why would people laugh at your drawings..? I don't think they're that bad. Well what you're showing me now isn't that bad. Maybe your friends take a sadistic pleasure into insulting your work even if they don't mean it? >_>

For a start, how long have you been drawing for? The drawing's not horrible, it's actually quite decent! - although there are some proportion and anatomy errors.

To help improve your abilities, just keep drawing and drawing, and whenever you watch a cartoon show or something, try to observe and understand the structure of the human body and the items around: that helps a lot too. I certainly don't think you should give up though!

Trust me many ppl laugh at my drawings. I think it's because they don't get the manga style. Thank god there are some ppl they actually like my drawings. I've been drawing for like seven years. That's what i do. I draw and draw and draw......Hmm interesting suggestion. Thank you all. I feel better now.

 

Though the scan of the image is slightly blurry, but I can see it quite well and it's quite good.

Well, working for animation companies or becoming an animator is tough and alot of work (believe me I know. I know quite a few people who are taking animation). But, if you want to work hard to make that future dream come true, I say go for it! :D
