I currently run two antivirus programs, F-PROT, and Spyware Doctor.

I haven't had any problems, but lately F-PROT has been giving me random "emergency" scan results that say it found a virus in one one my Spyware Doctor folders (it's a different one every time).

Every time it either says "failed to quarintine file" or "file not found".

Should i just ignore this, or is there a real possibility of something being wrong with my antivirus programs?

If I'm right, it isn't safe to have too many antiviruses on one computer because they end up fighting each other.
I'm not sure if two counts as too many, though.

Either the virus is an indecisive bastard, or it's nothing to worry about. Is either one of your antivirus programs downloaded or are they both installed via disk and setup?

Generally having more than one anti-viruses or firewalls is a very bad idea. They will start to conflict and could eventually spell the end for your computer D: This does sound like a conflict but it could be that the spyware one found and kept a virus (they sometimes do that so that they can be sent for analysis to be included in the next update).

But my advice is to lose one of the programs, or ignore the warnings.

this happened to me recently and well it went like this
the virus i had hid itself in a virus scan(they do that)
so the one it was hidden in couldnt detect it
and the one that found it was my other one

    i recomend
    Hijack this

Thank you guys, I'm going to go ahead and uninstall F-PROT. It doesn't help anyway, it usually never finds anything during scans when Spyware Doctor does.
