Okay guys/girls this is my first post and i really hope you like it btw this is not a one shot i will be continuing this in my spare time. On The Run A Teenage Story Chapter 1: The Begging Of A Never Ending Nightmare Hi, my name is Night Fire. Yeah, you are wondering “is that really your name†well yeah it is. Anyway, I figure I should tell you some things about me before we get into any of the other stuff. Well, I am like any other person, I like to have fun; whether it be music, sports, or just relaxing and delving my mind into a good book. I am about 16 years old, 6’ high, 180 lbs, blue hair with black highlights, blue eyes, a pretty good tan, and fairly well built. My choice of clothes are black cargo shorts (specially designed with blue flames on the bottom), a blue shirt with tiny black skulls on it, a black over shirt with random blue stripes running here and there, a pair of black sneakers with blue laces, and a 22k gold heart shaped lock necklace with a picture of me and my girlfriend Kairi. That’s about everything you need to know about me except that one more thing, I am On The Run searching for Kairi. My girlfriend has been kidnapped by a group of renegades fighting the Universal Alliance (top secret organization campaigning for universal piece). Year: 3010 Location (Planet and Galaxy): Alegora, Zexion Ulti Alright I am now heading for, if rumors are true, one of the chief operating stations for the Anti-Universal Alliance group. I will be arriving in T-Minus 01:00 hour. I am trying to remember everything I have picked up on my past endeavors. Never let your guard down, never turn your back to a possible opponent, always strike to kill unless seeking information, and most importantly show no emotion, mercy, or the slightest glimmer of a soul. To deal with these guys you have to be completely ruthless, the slightest hint of weakness will allow them to build up enough courage to do something stupid. I ask . . . no I demand the information I want, playing it off as though it is in my best interest to find Kairi or I wouldn’t be doing it. That scares them just enough to allow me to get what I need. Oh there is one last thing, after you get the information, always kill everyone involved; no traces, no ID, and no alarming other operating stations. It may sound ruthless but that’s the way this works. There it is, I think? It is a very large building with many doors leading in, but no windows. Yeah, this has got to be the place; even the caravan and the people I have been riding with are getting edgy here. Time to make my move, I said goodbye to the good nomadic peoples and headed off. There seems to be no unsuspecting point of entry, so what should I do. Let’s think this out for a minute, if I wait that means the longer Kairi could have to be sent somewhere else; on the other hand if I jump in that could startle them. So I have decided to go with plan C, barge in there acting like I am drunk, get them to take to the central area to see the boss, then beat the crap out of everyone in sight until all that is left is the boss. Well thought out plan now all I have to do is execute it. This shouldn’t take long, about 10 minutes is my etc (estimated time of completion). Ok, I just finished talking with the boss; I received the right info, and now on to the important part, disposing of evidence. I am now back in the city of Alegora, I am remembering the fire as I was riding away in one of there vehicles. It was so bright and full of life yet it was taking all of theirs. It’s as if one life is being taken to feed another, the flames. If I had witnessed such an “atrocity†a few years ago I would have broken down and cried. I guess my journeys have left me cold, as cold as the ice glaciers on Xerena IV. How will I ever be able to face Kairi again, will she hate me for all that I have done, or will she forgive me and we embrace each other just happy to see each others faces. Perhaps she won’t even recognize me; I have changed a lot both physically and mentally since the last time we met. It was 5 years ago next week. I can remember it like it was yesterday, the sky was so blue on our home planet earth. Then out of nowhere it suddenly turned into a blazoned red, as if the sky had been pierced by an arrow of fate. If I only would have seen the skies, maybe we could have escaped. Large ships with phazer cannons, the most powerful weapon in all of history, came reigning down from the heavens. At first moments thought I believed it was the apocalypse but if only it were. The vile inhumane demons cast upon us were even worse. Then they took her away from me, I was almost killed had one of them not knocked me unconscious. When I woke up I found that they were gone, and then started my long un-chronicled journeys. I have not written of these because they were all in vain. I found no information at all on the whereabouts of Kairi, although I found a lot of Anti-Universal Alliance stations. So long story short here I am, I just got vital information that could lead me to Kairi. The information I gathered was on a top secret Anti-Universal Alliance research facility. That can’t be right though, what could they want with Kairi in a place like that. Oh well guess ill find out soon enough, I am going to catch a few z’s on the plane ride to Atrakion Delta. The cosmic anomalies are said to be the most spectacular view ever. There are more cosmic anomalies here because the sector is so close to an integrated black hole and super nova, otherwise known as Mystic Tornado because it looks like a tornado only there is no suction. They theorize that this could be do to the lack of heat in space causing winds that would normally rip your head off to feel like a slight breeze. Anyway this Mystic Tornado has special qualities because of the immense power and the fusion it had to go through to combine both the black hole and the super nova. If this energy could be harnessed it could either be used for the good of mankind or the destruction as well. The special qualities allow things like revival, and the reinvigoration of plants. These special qualities have also caused mass destruction on a targeted area, and complete disintegration of matter itself. I am sure that is what these people are up to, but I still don’t know where Kairi plays into all of this. I am going to sleep on it; I can’t save anyone with bags under my eyes now can I? Chapter 2: So Close Year: 3010 Location: Tricon V, Atrakion Delta I just woke up from a long needed rest, we arrived just seconds ago. Wait, I just saw someone head for an alley after looking at me in shock. I wonder . . . wait a minute! I knew it, that dirty little scumbag. His name is SPIKES; don’t know his real name but he goes by SPIKES. It’s probably because the spikes he has that shoots out of nowhere when he gets scared. It probably isn’t the best idea to chase him down if you don’t know how to handle the spikes. All you have to do is emit an electrical shock-wave at a frequency that slows down his body functions. Then the spikes just slowly push there way out and drop to the ground. Now I just beat the crap out of SPIKES; he said he was here on business at first. After a while I got him to tell me what he was really there for. You see I knew SPIKES from way back when I first started searching for Kairi. He acted like he was a friendly guy but after awhile I caught on to what he was actually doing. He was using me as a cover to sell “black market†items. This guy was a real pain, so I told him that I knew the biggest sell he could ever make; which shocked him that I knew what he was doing at first, but then greed took over. So I led him to a location that he didn’t know about and told him that I had to go get the buyer. Then I called the cops, it was a big bust considering they had been tracking him for 6 years. Well I found out what he was doing, he was selling level 5 weapons to the Anti-Universal Alliance. So they were here after all then huh? I asked him if he ever saw a girl named Kairi when he was selling weapons, he answered in a back talky tone. He told me “how should I know I’m just a weapons dealerâ€. I smacked him a few more times and he came clean with a “maybe there was this one girl. She looked like a zombie though . . .†It pained me to say it but his description of Kairi matched to the T. They must be drugging her, I have to save her and fast. Somehow SPIKES got caught in a gunfight with the “buyers†he was selling to and died in the alley. Now I am on my way to the research facility SPIKES told me about. I hope I am not too late to save Kairi. These drugs they have her on, if I am right about the drugging, I wonder what they are. Could be “dracelo antielgoâ€, it causes you to be completely oblivious to anything and the effect of looking like your dead (also causes complete obedience). Why would they drug her? I am almost at the location, coordinates 70235-89670. There shouldn’t be anything here, but there is. A large complex, again with no windows. Is it just a coincidence that this building is right by the Mystic Tornado? No, I figured they were doing research here on it. It’s a good thing I decided to stop by the weapons shop in town (also a good thing they don’t have a waiting period). I am fully loaded and ready to do what has to be done. I’ll kill everyone in the complex if it means getting Kairi back (except Kairi of course). Here it is just ten meters from me, let’s get this moving. Okay I am going to bust through the doors with a matter destruction charge and start unloading. I will make my way to the center of the complex where the boss always hides and then find out where Kairi is. Then, pump him full of laser rounds, grab Kairi and get out. My ETC for this is around 30 minutes which is pushing it, because if they have reinforcements around there is about a 27.38 seconds before they get there. No, NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Kairi hold on. The boss said that she is in the teleporter room being ready to be transferred. Just a few minutes please. I’m so close; don’t do this to me please, please!!! Here it is. Kairi, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I was too late, if I only could have broken the glass, safety precautions would have caused the machine to shut down. She was right there, a few inches and diamond-glass blocking us. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I am going to kill everyone here. What is this feeling, hatred, no this is energetic. All of a sudden I am feeling this rush of energy and light emanating from me. What is this sharp pain! AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!! What, happened? Where did everything go? There is nothing left, the entire complex is gone and even the Mystic Tornado. My locator is saying I am in the exact same spot as before. That is impossible, unless. Did, DID I DO THIS!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Chapter 3: The Power Inside Year: 3010 Location: Unknown What, where am I? I just woke up in a bright room with machines everywhere. Oh no, this is a hospital room. I just hope they haven’t already . . . Oh no. My parents are right outside; you see when I said I am on the run looking for Kairi I meant it literally. My parents didn’t want me to go looking for Kairi, but I couldn’t stand the thought that if I had only gone I could have saved Kairi. So I just left, they have been searching for me ever since. I have got to get out of here, WHAT!!! The windows are barred; they must have put me in a special room to keep me from getting out. Wait a minute, before I was at the Anti-Universal Alliance facility on Tricon V in the Atrakion Delta sector. How did I end up here? My parents came in with smiles on their faces, “You’re not mad†I asked. And the only answer I received was a hug from both of them. I asked them how I had ended up in the hospital. Then when they gave me there answer I just started laughing. They expect me to believe that I had just run away from home to go hang out with Kairi. Then I got a little mad that they would joke about such a thing. Just as I was going to start yelling, much to my surprise Kairi walked in. WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!! What is going on here? This is some kind of joke right? This is not funny and I start to yell when Kairi says, “Forever together, through any weather, friends we shall remain.†My heart sank, that is what we used to sing with each other while hanging out. I rushed over and hugged her. Please, if this is not real I don’t want to know. Wait a minute, I asked about the bars on the window. They said there were no other available rooms. That made sense, or at least it would if I had not been through everything I have been through. Tears filled my eyes when I sat down on my bead and started screaming random stuff. Jellybeans, toothpicks, toothpaste, you see this is how I would wake myself from nightmares. It’s just too bad I would be waking up from a lovely dream this time and going into a nightmare. I would love to stay there forever but I have to find the real Kairi. Something isn’t right, I am not waking up. Suddenly everyone disappeared and a man appeared out of nowhere. He was wearing dark black jeans, a long leather body jacket, black leather dress shoes, leather gloves, and a rather beat up looking top hat. This was someone I knew I just could not put my finger on it. He is so familiar, no, it can’t be!! This man is one of the most vile, disgusting, and to top it off, the third most dangerous man in the Anti-Universal Alliance!!; Dr. Wick (short for wicked). He started talking, “How funny it is that you seem to think that you can break my hold just talking. You see when I found you I was so happy. I have been searching for you for years. Mr. Night Fire, isn’t it? Well, lets just say that you’re in a trance, a psychological state of mind in which I can enter or leave whenever I please. I can control anything and everything inside of your brain. I hope we can have lots of fun together, seeing as how you had fun destroying my facility.†That’s right I did destroy that facility, that energy rush and bright light. Maybe this freak might know something about that. So I asked, “What do you know about me and how did I destroy that facility back there, along with the Mystic Tornado.†“Oh you mean you don’t know? Well, for your information the Mystic Tornado was not destroyed, it simply chose a host to protect its powers.†“Do you mean Kairi?†“No you imbecile, I mean you.†“Then what does Kairi have to do with your schemes.†“Well you see we searched the Universe for gifted children who could be a host to the Mystic Tornado and we found her. Little did we know that you also had the same potential?†“Then where is she?†“We sent her to another Mystic Tornado.†“You mean there is more than one. That can’t be, the record shows that there is only one Mystic Tornado in the entire Universe.†“Yes well, these Mystic Tornados are in the forbidden sector. There are millions upon millions of them there. That is why they are off the rec…†“WHAT, you sent her to the forbidden sector. That is the most dangerous part of the universe. What are her coordinates?†“Huh? Humph, whatever, the coordinates she is at are 6098-31R65. It’s not like you could save her anyway since you are trapped in my machine. HAHAHA, huh? What are you doing?†“The Mystic Tornado is inside me you fool, I have all that destructive power and you think this machine can hold me?! AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! “What, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!†“What an idiot. Now you and your machine are destroyed. Now I have to go save Kairi.†So I am still on Tricon V in the Atrakion Delta sector. I am going to have a very long trip ahead of me. If only I would have not blown up the teleporters at the facility. Oh well no time for moping now. Just hang in their Kairi, I am on my way. I am going to hunt down every single facility there is if that’s what it takes to get to you. FOREVER TOGETHER, THROUGH ANY WEATHER, FRIENDS WE SHALL REMAIN!!!!! Chapter 4: Hunting Man, I was so close. Just a little bit longer and I would have had her. Why, why did it have to be us? Why couldn’t they just have found someone else, someone who didn’t have a happy life? No, that’s not right; I must be in a state of terrible depression if I could wish all of this on someone else. Now I need to stop moping and get moving. After all, Kairi isn’t going to save herself is she? That would save me the trouble, but it’s not just her I am fighting for now. I have to save all the people that have been kidnapped by those horrid fiends who call themselves people; them who call themselves justice. Do they actually believe that, or is it just a rouse to keep the people working for them under wraps. I don’t know, to tell the truth I don’t really care, but there is one thing for certain; I am going to stop them once and for all. Year: 3010 Location: Tricon V, Atrakion Delta (Airport) So let’s recap on all the events so far. I found a secret facility on Alegora in the Zexion Ulti sector, then caught a plane to Tricon V in the Atrakion Delta sector, found the secret research facility there, had Kairi within my grasps and lost her, destroyed the facility and everything within a miles radius, and destroyed one of the most dangerous members of the AU Alliance. Now I am headed to the airport to go to Poseidon III in the Contortion Sector. This planet is great for people looking for information, but horrible for those who can’t swim. It is a planet completely covered by water. They use huge platforms made of anti-gravity metal which allows them to hover on the water. It may sound like it’s an important planet buy really it’s one of the most scumbag ridden places in the universe. That is why the tickets there are so cheap; they don’t even stop the plane. You have to jump out and parachute hoping that you land on a platform. Oh well, that is what you get for 1,000 credits. Well, the plane doesn’t look half bad at least. Maybe I should get some sleep on the way there. “Yawn, man I am tired.†I didn’t say that expecting an answer but. “Yeah me too,†said the man beside me, “say where are you from?†I know this guy from somewhere, or at least the attire looks similar, “Me, well I am from earth; how about you?†“I’m from Diablo in the Eltraco sector; it’s pretty dangerous where you’re headed, where are your parents?†Oh no, I can’t believe they would do such a thing, “I don’t have any parents, they died when I was only a baby.†Please, please buy that crackpot story. “Now see you shouldn’t say such things like that, it might happen to them if you do.†Darn, “So they actually sent a bounty hunter after me huh? You know it’s not going to be that easy to take me back right? Humph, after all I have killed more men then you have ever seen.†“So I do have the right guy then? They said that you might act like this, so I came prepared.†Stupid, stupid, stupid, how could I slip up like that, “Oh yeah and how’s that?†“Look around you son, you are surrounded by the men from my crew.†What, I thought those were just guys going back home! Hum wait a minute, “Really, I thought these guys were just going back home.†“Hey you better watch it now; a few 100 credits might just be worth it to teach you a lesson.†That’s it fall right into my trap, “That’s if you could. See, you guys look like the weakest bounty hunters I have ever seen.†“Alright . . . wait you said weakest you ever seen; what do you mean by that?†“What, did you guys think that you were the first bounty hunters my parents have sent after me?†“They said that we were, because . . .†“. . . because they had to think it over right?†Hope that’s what he was going to say or this is going to get really messy, really quickly. “Yeah, that’s pretty much what they said.†“Now why do you think they would tell you that you guys were the first ones? Well, it’s because all of the other bounty hunters never made it back to collect, if you catch my drift.†“Oh yeah and how many bounty hunters have they sent after you exactly?†That’s it, “Well, I really stopped counting after the first hundred or so. I actually kind of like that my parents send them after me, you know, gives me a work out.†“Are you being serious?†“No, half the time I don’t even break a sweat.†“Well that might be so but look at us, there is at least fifteen bounty hunters in here all at once; you think you could handle that?†“When I said the first hundred, did you think I meant all separate? My parents would do anything to get me back, even hire a blood thirsty crew of over a hundred men. The numbers started getting slimmer because the hunters started getting smarter. That’s why I stopped counting, I defeated over a hundred men in one day; do you think any lesser of a number could match up in comparison?†“Gulp, um you know I am starting to think that maybe we have caught the wrong plane boys, let’s just go.†Well that went smooth; for once I didn’t have to fight. Well, I think it’s time for a little r and r; although I find it hard to relax with Kairi on my mind. Man, why hasn’t the plane taken off yet, unless . . . oh no. Those bounty hunters, I bet they placed a gas bomb on here. I have to get out. The doors, the doors are locked. No, no, no, NOOOO!!! This cannot happen, not before I stop the AU Alliance. Cough, cough everything is getting blurry and spinning. No, I have to save Kai- Kai- ugh. Chapter 5: Trapped Year: 3010 Location: Cage in Forest Wha- where am I? I can’t remember what happened. I was getting on the plane and then I . . . oh no!! The bounty hunters, they gassed me. Those dirty rotten . . . can’t help it now. I have to figure a way out of here. Light, oh it is coming in through those bars. “Hey who’s out there? Listen you better set me free you stupid bounty hunters.†“You just shut up in there. We aint hurt you none. What you complainin for.†“Listen seriously; you guys have to set me free. There is this girl . . .†“Yeah and what about her . . . she your girlfriend or somthin, ha ha ha.†“Yes, she is. She is in danger and I have to save her.†“Right, I bet she is.†I did not want to have to use this power on innocent people, if you can call a bounty hunter innocent. “Okay look, I have to use the bathroom.†“Well go in there.†“You know if my parents find out that you made me do something like you guys won’t get paid; and they will find out.†“Okay, okay; pull over Jimbo. Now listen, you only got one minute or we’ll start shootin.†“Sleeping darts right?!†“Of course, we wouldn’t want any major deductions from our pay now would we.†Okay, let me run through the plan I just came up with in two minutes. I hope this works. Okay, I am going to go behind the trees; then with the power from the mystic tornado I am going to make an explosion right on this side of those bounty hunters. It shouldn’t hurt them because of the precise and accurate destruction it can cause. Okay time to do this. Come on you stupid mystic tornado. Use your magic to get us out of this mess. “Come on.†Uh oh, I hope nobody heard that. “Sorry, but I cannot do that.†“Whoa, who was that?†“I am the sentient being within you.†“The mystic tornado?!†“Yes, I am actually a being of pure energy.†“That explains all the power, but I have some questions.†“You may proceed with said questions.†“Okay one, how can you talk to me? Then my second question, why can’t you help me? Finally, my third question why have you destroyed places?†“Okay, I can speak to you because I am a being of pure energy, and this much power cannot be left to chance. Second, no I will answer that last. Your third question; I destroyed those places because crimes were taking place there, and don’t forget I also revived whole planets.†“Yeah that is true; okay my other question?†“Yes, I cannot help you because I can no longer control my powers.†“What!!! Then how are we supposed to get out of this mess?†“You.†“Me, what am I supposed to do? If I could get out of this I wouldn’t have called for your help.†“You see when I transferred into your body to protect myself, all my powers were bestowed upon you; my protector.†“So you are saying that I could have gotten out at any time?†“Yes, that is correct.†“You could have at least said something. Geez, all this time I had all your powers . . . wait a minute; I have all your power. What all exactly can I do?†“With my powers you can do almost anything in nature or battle.†“Almost, what can’t I do?†“You cannot use your powers against another sentient being.†“Well if that is all then we are going to be fine here.†*â€Hey kid what is taking you so long.â€* “Okay you bounty hunter dirt bag, come and get some.†Well that was pretty easy to get out of. All I had to do was make some vines grow around there legs. And I even got a ride out of all this. I think I am the one who made out with all of the bounty. Chapter 6: Rescue Year: 3010 Location: Tricon V, Atrakion Delta (Marketplace) So I have been looking around for some cash since those stupid bounty hunters took all my credits. So far I have taken a job as a pet walker, a grandstander, a mail boy, and a bodyguard. The bodyguard job was the easiest believe it or not. All I had to do was guard this kid. The cash was pretty good though; 90,000 credits. That much for one kid, wait something has to be up here. I am going to go back and check to see if they made a mistake. Wait, something happened here. “Excuse me, lady are you alright? What happened here?†“They took my son, those men over there!†“Hold on I will get your son back.†What, come on don’t run, you are just stretching your time out . . . Uh oh I have to hurry. They are just trying to score some time. Looks like I am going to have to use it. Alright, now carry me wind. With this wind blowing on me I can go even faster. “Almost, gotcha!! Okay, now let’s see just who you . . . are? What in the world, a robot?†Hey, what is that beeping . . . Agghhhh!!! “Hurry kid let’s run.†There is no way, that explosion took out five blocks. If I hadn’t carried the kid he would have died. Hey, where is that kids mother? If she went in after him, there is a zero percent chance that she survived the blast radius. That bomb had to be C-27, the highest level you can make, and that’s just a homemade version. “Hey kid, are you alright?†“Yeah, I am fine; where is my mother?†“I don’t know.†“Why don’t you know?†“Look kid, I just don’t alright. Why were those guys after you anyways?†“They want it.†“What do they want?†“The key.†“What key?†“This key right here.†“Okay, what is so special about that key?†“This key can unlock anything.†“Anything huh, what about a metaphorical path to a friend.†“Like I said, anything.†“Hey, do you think I could use that real fast?†“Only if you can get me and my mother out of here.†“Look kid your mother is . . .†“My son, thank heavens.†“Mom.†Guess she didn’t head that way after all. Some kind of mom. Wait, why is she grasping so close to his . . . the key. “I can’t believe you scum would actually pose as this kids mother, just for that key.†“You know, you are way to smart for your own good child.†What in the world, it’s turning into a giant beast. That is by far the third strangest thing I have ever seen. “What in the world are you?†“Me I am just a snake looking for the key to humanism.†“So it’s the key you are after huh; well how about a taste of my power instead?†“I don’t know about your power, but I sure would love to see how you taste!†“Alright, you asked for it!!! Lightning bolt attack.†It is a good thing I have been practicing. “What, where did that come from? Aaagghhhh!!!†“Hey kid, are you alright? You look like you are in pain.†“I am fine, but the key was destroyed. Sorry mister.†“That is okay, I can find my friend either way, but about your mom I don’t think she is still alive.†“Well actually, she was never my real mother. My real mother died in a terrorist attack years ago. She left me to protect that key with all my might, to do my best to not let it get in the hands of the wicked.†“So you used the key to open the door to your mind to project your mother in an astral form huh? Anyway, the key will never get into the hands of the wicked now right?†“I guess not, but now without the key I will not have anywhere to stay. I used the key to get into houses and stay the night.†“Well that was a wrong thing to do, even if you didn’t have anywhere else to go. Tell you what; you can come with me on my journey to find my friend.†“Will there be adventure?†“Yes, but there will also be moments when you might die.†“I guess it beats living on the streets. So who are find exactly.†“Her name is Kairi, she is my best friend in the whole world. I gave everything I had to come and save her. I gave up a big home, my own huge room, personal butlers, basketball court, and an extra large swimming pool.†“You are a better friend than me; I would have never given that up.†“She is not just my friend . . . she is my life.†“So where are we going to find her at?†“Well, she is supposed to be in the forbidden sector.†“. . . for-forbidden sector; you do know why it is forbidden right?†“It is the only territory that is blank spot on the map. People have been able to chart everything around it but when you get right to that line it is said the darkness is like looking into your own soul. It scares you so bad you just take off in the opposite direction.†“Yeah, that is exactly my point. That sounds a little bit too dangerous for me.†“I told you so; anyway you don’t have to go if you don’t want to.†“What, and be a chicken the rest of my life, no way. I am going and there is nothing you can say to make me back down.†“Let’s get going then.†Hold on Kairi, I am on my way; and backup is coming to.
