But what happened to 6.0? On the style chooser, you have 7.0 and Mobile. Are we not going to keep 6.0 as an option?

Misty said in the announcement thread that she removed it because it wasn't unique (or something along those lines) and was therefore not supporting it.

Still, it was nice. There should have been a survey or something to see what users thought.

But if that's what she thinks, then I'm okay with that.

It's really, really difficult to support two different styles at once. When we update modifications or the forum software, that comes with styling bugs; my workload in fixing those is doubled with two styles. When I code new pages, I'll often have to include legacy styling just so that they look alright on older styles. I'm happy to do this if there are particular differences between the styles--like, for instance, a light and a dark style--but as 6.0 and 7.0 are quite similar I felt it better to just start fresh.

I am sorry to those of you who were attached to 6.0 but with a few days of adjusting I'm sure you'll come to like 7.0 just as much.

Cass its ok we can see username colors in VMs now i regret nothing.

But on a serious note, yeah it's like running two different programs on the same computer, and still getting them to run smoothly. It gets tedious, and frankly, it never hurts to "clean the slate" in times like these.

I was hoping there would be an option to use 6.0 as well, but if it's too much trouble then I understand and have no problems.

As I said somewhere else it will just take time to adjust.

I had grown attached to 6.0, but I'm sure I'll grow attached to this as well in time.
