Ok, I'm pissed again...

Ok staff, I'm pissed again, and it's time to complain... Last time, I kept it quiet, but now i'm making it public. Ever since I came back, I've been watching you guys do nothing make this place more of an annoyance than a fun place to post. Here's why...

Admins, you give people power way too easily. Half of our forum helpers jus joined when they were made forum helpers before you knew if they could really follow the ToS or if they're well known enough to make site decsions that arei n everyone's best interest. Our most active mods have been known for spamming, getting banned, and flaming before they were made mods, now they're mods?? They're so many people here without any kind of bad record, I could see NRA, Zexion, and DA becoming mods easily,, and yet, they're not even forum helpers. And speaking of DA, it took this long for him to acutally become a forum helper while John S was FH'd before him?! That's not right. Sara, and whoever else gives power, you give it away way to easily, and I'm tired of it... People with power need to prove how that they can handle it and they're worthy of it...

Mods, you are the most hypocritical people I've ever met in my life. You lock so many things for spamming, yet most of time, you contribute to it! You should be warned for the most part. Next thing is you lock threads because a question is answered, haven't you heard of follow up questions?? The person should not have to make another thread to ask another question related to that subject, you need to be more leiniant with that, when your sure there can be no more contributing and no more follow up questions, then you lock it... Flaming, you lock things for 'flaming' too mcuh. Half of the time it's just a disscusion and there are just some people repling to one post, that's not flaming, it's called being interested in what he said. If there is a chance of a possible flame war, unless the whole thread is a flame war, you shouldn't lock it, posts can be deleted. That's why the option is there, so you can just delete bad posts and the discussion can continue.

Personally, I'm tired of you doing such a horrible job, and ruining the greatness this site once had... You can lock this if you want, but that'll just convince me you can't discuss this becuase you know I'm right. I just needed to vent and get that off my chest...

I semi agree with this,there are some parts that I don't,but for the most part I do.

Personally, I see nothing totally wrong with what mods are doing, I've seen far worst mods.

I've seen mods who mod things that happened months ago and long forgotten, I know a mod who did took stuff from a banned member to gain something. As for the question thing, that thread will be about that question and when the question is answered it is locked, it is like that at pretty much every forum, here is no different. For the flaming thing, can you give me an example.

yeah, i can relate. i mean, some people r doing a good job, but then others are either a) being hypocrites or b) being harsh and annoying

and they always do think were flaming, even if were not.

I've seen that too, but that's not what we're talking about. In all honesty, I'm surprised you disagree about power being wrongly distriuted, you should've been modded long ago...

No, it's the way I said it was at all the big forums such as IGN, GameFAQs, and Gamespot, here is way too different and causes spam. For the flaming, yes, the child dscipline, I saw only one post in there thta could've lead to flaming, and that was the guy saying he's not a dumb sixth grader, that easily could've been deleted so the thread could continue.

 

Being harsh and annoying, that is a more personal thing, really they have to be harsh at times.

Again I would like to see an example of such a thread.

Personally at the moment I only see 1 or 2 that are will make a good staff member.

NRA, you killed your chances of becoming mod when you did that... thing.

And half the stuff in there is just a member venting with no links or proof to back anything up; simply rage-fueled opinions.

 

It should, your widely known and would make great community based decsions. Not too mention you seem to know what's right and wrong here...

And about the question thing, it shouldn't have to work like that, a mod should be patient and wait, if spam is starting, that's when they lock it, they don't need to prevent, they need to stop it. Preventing is the admnis jobs IMO. That's why they make rules...

No offense man, but you see the line where I said, mods known for flaming, spam, and being banned, yeah I was thinking of you mostly... And just look around, I don't need proof when it's right in front of your faces, anyone whose been paying attention sohlud know what I'm talking abou,t since Namine, the burger king, and NRA seemed to notice pretty well. And also, some of my points didn't need links, it's just what all mods do.

 

Shadowjack, if you had an issue you should have brought it up with me privatly, why attack us publicly without us getting a chance to rebuttle and defend ourselves first? You have 0 idea of what goes on behind the scenes on this site, and as such, I was made admin maybe two months after joining the old KHV, are you saying it was a bad choice? I think you should redirect your anger toward the ENTIRE site, not just us. IF you have anything more to say, bring it up privately, with me. My contact info is posted and I ALWAYS answer EVERY PM I recieve. Sara's job is hard enough as is, and she doesnt need, nor deserve to be attacked as you have with this thread. I suggest an appology before SHE is brought to attention about this thread.

Also, Roxas has proved himself time and again, he has made mistakes, everyone has. Why should he constantly live in fear of losing the respect he has earned? He is a good person and hard worker, that is what is important.

As for Roxas, he got removed before because of past events. This time it was for probation. He and I agreed to it months ago.

 

I don't apologize for stating my opinions, I have freedom of speech thank you very much. I never complained about you being admined, you were one on the old site and brought into this site... and I may not be there for behind the scenes, but I have a pretty good idea, that's all I'm saying on that... The reason I made it public this time, was so you could all respond, and I wanted to see what users thought, the majority that posted agrees with me. If I wanted to complain to one person and hope for changes, I would, but changes happen if there is more than one person on my side... I can't make any changes fighting on my own, but with other people's support, saying they agree, there's a pretty good chance of changes...

And Sara, your answer is somewhere in my response to Arc...

*sighs* Jack, I didnt say you werent entitled to your opinion, but at the same time, we should have the chance to privately respond to your complaints BEFORE theyre made public. The only thing I asked you to appologize for is singling Sara out in your original post. That was all. And preferabbly Roxas, since that was definatly out ofhand to bring up....but thats my opinion, take it for what you will.

But why not ask others of their opinion privately? I have an open door policy. And yes, I close mass chats because I'm not warned about it, and I end up with a frozen computer half the time and it being a contest to see how many people can be dragged into a chat at once. But that doesn't mean I don't listen to everyone's opinions, even if it's just one. I even ask others for feedback.

Not at all. That one line may have had me thinking of you, but the spamming and most of my ponits were pointed out to mods in general...

First off, it's Jak, not Jack. Jak is a badass from the series Jak and Daxter, Jack fell down a hill(not angry, just would prefer it if you didn't call me Jack, for it gets on my nerves alittle when people think it's my name, that's all ;) ) And second off, I have a few questions for you then. Why can't you answer in public first? ?They deserve to see your opinions as well as mine and see who they agree with, they should be able to see our conversation. I singled out Sara because she gives power, nothing personal, it's just a fact, and it IMO, she gives it too easily. Actually from what I hear, quite a few people have argued there way to power, that's not very responsible for an admin, those user should've been banned instantly... I'm not apologizing to Roxas or Sara, it would be meaningless and forced. And it wasn't out of hand to mention Roxas's line in that, I just find it funny that Roxas has been banned, deleted, has flamed, and spammed, and yet is a mod. That's like me hacking IGN(happened, next part didn't) and becoming an admin... But how about we drop who, and worry about the what. Because it's turning into flaming, and I don't feel like losing friends over this...

Tell me, what better way to get everyone opinions than to make a thread where they can post there opinions?? If I asked everyone's opinions, I gurantee there would be people saying not too tell, and I have a feeling there would be doubts on who agrees with me. This way, you know everyone's opinions, and you can respond to them all. I'm just looking for conveiniance for the whole community.
