I'm not sure what should be added.

this was originally what I was going for, simplistic and all, but afterwards I didn't like how the focus was on 2 different places, him and the text. I wanted it to be on just the text so I blurred the body out a little and overall i think it's alright. Looking at it though, I feel like the text needs something for it to not be so boring.

so what changes can I make and what can i add to make it not look boring, but still keep the simplistic feel?

please keep in mind that im not a ps pro, so any amount of suggestions is appreciated.

edit:the more i look at it the less i like the blur, though i do like the text being the focus

Well, I would bring the text over the top of him like at his shoulder or neck or something (but not over his face). The text being in a different place to the main render does create two focal points and you should keep all the 'clutter' in the same place and not spread over the signature. The simplistic look works well here and I like the colours but I suggest keep the edges blank :3

If you wanted to spend a bit more time on it then I would suggest blurring the bits of him that are in the background (like his right shoulder and the back of his head) more to add more depth to the picture while keeping the places in the foreground (like his arm, hand, nose/face and microphone).

If you wanted you could add some circles just behind the text and change it's opacity so it's very faint. Like a big one then a smaller one overlapping the bigger one. If you have no idea what I mean then tell me and I'll explain it more xD

I like this piece though! Good work : D

    thanks

i did what you said about blurring, and i brought the text over like you said as well, but i might be doing it wrong because it looks kinda funny.
What do you mean by keep the edges blank, and the circles thing?
    sorry

    It's fine xD

By keep the edges blank I just meant don't put anything on them, leave them as they are (so no text)

    The circle thing:
This is just a rough sort of thing just to show you so do play around a bit:

    This is without your blurring.

    1) The circles
    [IMG]
I used the tool I've circled in red and put two circles down, overlapping. I used blues to go with the picture and I made one lighter than the other. If the icon is not a circle then it'll probably be a rectangle (just click and hold down until a drop down menu comes up and select "ellipse tool").

    2)I then changed the opacity.
I changed it to 26% but you can play around to see what works best.

You could also change the blending mode (which is the drop down menu to the left of the opacity slider that currently says "Normal")- some of those bring about lovely effects so you may want to look around.

    3) Text.
-I tried to replicate your font and colour as much as I could but I did give the text a white glow.
-To do this I replicated the text layers and changed the colour to white (you can change it to black if you want to give it a drop shadow instead)
-I then blurred the text (my blur was at 36%), put the white layer behind the original and moved it slightly to one side (you may want to see what's the best position to put it in).

This is what it looks like with a drop shadow instead:

You may not like this effect which is fine, it's only a suggestion xD but I hope it's a bit clearer now.

It looks great, but I didn't even notice the text at first, try making it a different colour so it stands out from the background, a light black would be nice. Just my opinion though.
