Lets talk Disgaea shall we, knowing KHV, I can't be the only Disgaea fanboy/girl around, so tell me KHV: 1.Favorite Disgaea game? 2.Favorite Disgaea Spin off? (IE: Prinny: CIBTH? Or Infinite) 3.Any other favorite NIS games? (IE: Pantom Brave, Makai Kingdom) 4.Favorite class? 5.Pissed off about the Disgaea 4 censorship? 6.Favorite character in any of the Disgaea games? I'll lay off mine: 1.HOD is my absolute favorite, but Disgaea 4 might be close to beating that 2.Prinny 2 was alot of fun, hard yes, but the bosses, level designs are freaking amazing 3.Makai Kingdom was fun, I would like a sequel though 4.The Succubus or the Archer are boss 5.Kind of pissed off about it, mostly because I just found out about it 6.Obvious
Hell yeah, Disgaea thread! Kay, my favourite has to be Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, on account that it makes so many improvements to what is already an incredibly fun game series. The sprites, the animation quality... the only thing that lets it down is some of the voices on occassion, like Laharl's. Since they changed the voice actress he just sounds off to me, but eh, it had to happen sometime I suppose. Infinite was good, but it was just your standard VN with a gimmick. Prinny, on the other hand, is a completely different game that is good in it's own right, so I'll go with that one. Technically speaking, both of those are in the Disgaea series, or more accurately the Makai series, which Disgaea is a part of. Like they so often do, the full title was dropped for the English release, meaning that Makai Senki Disgaea became just Disgaea. That said, Makai Kingdom is the best of those, with Zettai Hero Project being close behind. Favourite class... I'm actually more fond of the unique characters to be honest, since they have far more going for them. If I was forced to though, I suppose I'd go for a good monster class. The Sea Serpent class from the first game was pretty badass. Didn't know about the censorship. Could you explain more? Across all the Disgaea games, it's a close one between Axel and Asagi (she counts, right?) on account that you can always count on them doing something both awesome and stupid. Shameless comedy relief is sometimes pretty cool.
Because you can torture people in Disgaea 4, the NA release was a little iffy on that, so they censored the torture devises with....cats......ok And the Succubus and the Nekomata were censored for obvious reasons. Ok seriously, do they really think kids are going to play this game? What kid out there has ever heard about Disgaea?
Haha, oh god that just makes it worse though. So many innuendos could be gotten from that. They couldn't think of anything better than a Catsaber to censor it with? Eh, Succubus and Nekomata have always been the oddballs of the series anyway. Not bothered about them one bit. But actually, the idea is just so it keeps its original rating. Still, that's hilarious.
