Best known for his incredibly successful collaboration with Ohba Tsugumi known as Death Note. He also served as artist for Hikaru no Go and several other works. He seems to be drawn to ideas others might find strange and possibly somewhat disturbing. It's unclear how much influence he as the artist has over the stories he tells but it's clear that they all share a common thread, a bit of his own artistry beyond the pictures. He's one of the most well known and acclaimed mangaka world wide and has proven himself worthy of such lauding. So what do you think of the man?
