Sorry if this thread was made. Well...In KH1, I was browsing the cutscene archive and I saw the part where Riku says that if Kairi had never came to their island, he wouldn't have thought up all of the things about the different worlds...
Riku's personality seemed a bit inquisitive in itself, so I think that maybe---eventually, he would've thought about it anyways but...Do you think Kairi was the main influence in Riku's questionings?
    If that makes sense...XD

Listen, it's not like Kairi wanted all the bad stuff to happen. I mean, Riku would have gotten to find other worlds anyway because he was the rightful Keyblade bearer. Plus, I don't think them building the raft had anything to do with the heartless.

But it was because Kairi came that Riku thought of all this.

And whose fault was it that Kairi came to Destiny Islands in the first place?

Xehanort, pure and simple as based on Ansem's Reports:

Correction. It was XEHANORT'S fault. I'm talking about the Ansem Reports from the first KH. Not Ansem the Wise's from KH2.

Well, if it didn't have happened, we would never have gotten to see Riku would we? There wouldn't have been a game, without Kairi's part in the story, there'd be NO story. No one for Riku to protect, no one for Sora to have sex with, no one that has boobs besides that girl from the org.

Well, Kairi most certainly could not have forseen what was going to happen, so it wasn't her fault--she was just one of many factors that contributed to Riku's thoughts. In fact, Riku is having these feelings of being trapped before he even meets Kairi. Remember when Sora has the flashback of him and Riku when they were young, inside the secret place and looking for a monster? Riku goes on and on about getting off the island and having "real adventures, not this kid stuff". Riku might also have been exaggerating a little--he could have told Kairi that she got him thinking just to flirt with her.

riku was always just a curious and adventerous person. he's just like all those people that dream about "something else out there!" and going on big adventures. he's a child at heart and since kairi came from "somewhere" that most certainly wasn't the islands, it fueled his childish curiosity.

as he got older, he began to think that if kairi came from "somewhere else" then there has to be other worlds out there. so yes, kairi did play a large role in fueling his "gotta see other worlds!" thing, but he had always wanted to and had the theory that "maybe just maybe!" there was something else out there.

but i dont think kairi should be blamed for what happened. blame xehanort if you've gotta blame somebody. or better yet, blame ansem for putting the idea of the darkness into xehanort's head.

As Destiny's Force said, it was Ansem/Xehanort that sent Kairi to Destiny Islands in the first place to find the Keyblade wielder. Since Riku was the intended one, it did work. This is also why the door behind Riku glows after Sora leaves the Secret Cave area. It's possible that Xehanort found him then and/or the door revealed itself to Riku because Kairi had passed through to the world via the water. (Which conveniently her bottle in KH2 travels the same way and her name means Sea).

Riku was adventurous prior but even when Riku says his statement to Sora of leaving the world, Kairi has already been there and is staying at the mayor's house. So there really is nothing to exactly say Riku wanted to leave prior to Kairi showing up and revealing such was even possible.

It isn't Kairi's fault at all. Did she personally cause everything? No. She was only a victum of Xehanort and circumstance. *Pokes reports from kh1*

    Dont get violent T-T.

Like I asked, I though Riku would've gone without Kairi's persuation...Just how he is.

    (High-fives) Very long...Very boring. XD
